Well, hund, that's what we are doing here, being as I'm not coming to EU with dogs to make my point about selection...after all, this is hypothetical. From just these points from the gsdca standard and the fci/sv...take a pick.
From the breed standard; 'The first impression of a good German Shepherd Dog is that of a strong, agile, well muscled animal, alert and full of life. It is well balanced, with harmonious development of the forequarter and hindquarter. The dog is longer than tall, deep-bodied, and presents an outline of smooth curves rather than angles. It looks substantial and not spindly, giving the impression, both at rest and in motion, of muscular fitness and nimbleness without any look of clumsiness or soft living. The ideal dog is stamped with a look of quality and nobility--difficult to define, but unmistakable when present. Secondary sex characteristics are strongly marked, and every animal gives a definite impression of masculinity or femininity, according to its sex.'

'...The expression keen, intelligent and composed. Eyes of medium size, almond shaped, set a little obliquely and not protruding. The color is as dark as possible. '
Sv breed standard....'The skin is (loosely) fitting, but without forming any folds. '

This was taken as precedent ; http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/community.read?post=841423-really

However, the pups in the pictures are not being maligned, they are illustrations only.

Illustrations? So just what are you trying to illustrate please??

Gsd puppies photo graphed at comperable ages, positions, color and breeding. Is that against the tos?

And that has to do with the subject of this thread exactly what?

The link to another thread you provided does not use any photos, it uses a link to an ad. The puppy in that ad was not the subject of the thread it was the GUNS used in the ad. So I don't get your point with the link either.Confused Smile

This thred was started to discuss selection for breeding and the affects of selection.
Quote; 'Examples of selection...which pup would you want for any job the breed has been known for?'
It should be clear that the two pups look different, but are the same breed, common dogs in pedigree. The selection for breeding creates the difference in appearance...I'm not asking for what color do you like, they are both b/r...but if you want a dog for any job which would you chose...nothing nefarious in the question.
Being as I'm not allowed to address any admin on public forum, would you rather I not answer this interrogation concerning a post I made
In public? Honest question.

by joanro on 27 September 2015 - 21:09

Excuse me, but that entire ad was being attacked, including the breeder of a dog in the pedigree. That happens to be a paying ad, and the ad was torn apart.
Again, I'm doing nothing of the kind here. That ad was used for a bash fest, i saw no repercussions for that ad being used in an ugly manner. So what is so horrible about comparring two similar puppies? and why this interrogation?

Is this what we have to go thro now adays in order to post on the public forum?

Silly me here's me thinking it was started to show some sheep you and bought for your pups to work with, Roll eyes

by joanro on 27 September 2015 - 22:09

And what silly games is that? I told why I posted the pictures, what is it in your mind that makes you think you know something else.
How about this...to bet you think I want to bash show lines...both pups have show lines, so that's not it. If you really have a problem with anyone doing what you are insinuating I'm doing, then what about this;

Mod edit

Removed entire thread insulting showline dogs, comments like this only start trouble. It has been said to death by working line fanciers and I for one am sick of it.

Leave it alone as from now on I will delete these put downs, some love S/L some love W/L, where's the problem in that, now get a life or find somewhere else for this bitterness, thank you.

And please don't quote me Max's old sayingRoll eyes mrdarcy (mod)
