Pano is a growing pain condition,I havent seen it much with my own dogs over the years, most feel its nothing to worry about and that they will grow out of it,but cage can explain it better than i can

by joanro on 25 July 2015 - 18:07

Panosteitis= pano. Traveling leg lameness, affects the long bones of the legs but can also affect the upper arm and scapula.

Ana, Bundishep and Joanro explained it well - inflammation of bones usually of long bones that occurs during the age of growing, here´s a link to some more info - http://www.petmd.com/dog/conditions/musculoskeletal/c_multi_panosteitis
Bundishep, I´ll explain what I mean under the term ball drive - dogs with high prey drive want the ball/tug/dumnbell because it´s a prey for them. Dogs with high ball drive want the ball because they simply love carrying things. If you let the dog out in the yard and there´s a ball dropped on the ground, the dog with high ball drive will take it and carry it in its mouth while the dog with medium or low ball drive may not be interested in the "dead"ball.
Hessy had medium ball drive but very high prey drive - she worked well for the ball and she loved the ball as a reward but if I let her out in the yard she wouldn´t be much interested in the ball that was just "lying dead" on the ground. Our other female Chyla z Esagilu would take the ball and carry it all the time.
My young female Olla, Efa´s granddaughter has high ball and prey drive as well.

Thats a good explaination for ball drive since everyone uses the term all over the map and it means differant things depending on who,s decribing it, normaly when I hear a person  decribing a dog as ball crazy or over the top ball drive that to me says that a dog is very interested in that ball night and day wether its a dead ball or live ball, I also had a question in what will I see in a dogs title that is registered in Slovakia? Will I see the letters SUCHN or SKSP or SHPK or do they all mean the same registery ?

Cage,,,, your young Olla female is that a full sister to Ofina Stastena ? Ofina has a really nice vid on youtube a good vid of training a young dog,it looked like her breeding was out of Goro and Kata Stastena, I noticed also that Ofina has a sister to Rush AKA Corado in Ofina,s pedigree I thought that was very interesting.

Bundishep, yes, Olla is litter sister to Ofina. Their sire Goro is son of Clea z Vetrovej luky and Clea is litter sister to Corado. BTW, I think Corado´s owner has Corado´s son Ikar zo Severnej hranice - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUNsBpfaZ-g , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUfyoElYk1M . Here is Ikar´s son Doro od Pramena Vahu - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9-UyICqz_U ,https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kxC7wjjXC0 .

If I remember correctly Ikar zo Severnej hranice is now in Canada and Doro do Pramena Vahu will be exported soon. Both are excellent dogs.

Cage. if your Olla female is alot like her sister Ofina than it looks like you have a real nice female, I see some exceptional working dogs coming out of Efa, Corado, Goro and further back Hoky in that bunch.

I owned a super daughter out of Hagi Banero and Esagilu daughter out of Xero z PS. She had very nice prey drive, super nerve, and great grips. When bred to Olex Aritar Bastet, she produced a super patrol dog for Sheriff dept.
