Above medium size medium dark sable female GSD of good expression, slightly stretched, beautiful strong head of good planes, good earset, slightly sloping nice topline, high long well defined withers, a strong back that is slightly long, slightly short and steep croup, good tailset, good tail, could use more rear angulation, strong hocks and good underline. Very good shoulder, good long front upper arm & good shoulder blade lay back.

Nans,
Xena never went thru the "gangly stage"... she was always well put together. I do feel that as she aged she filled out better.. This is Xena at 7 months.

Not going to 'critique' her, Jyl, as I don't see the point of analyzing a veteran bitch who isn't a Showdog and on the strength of a photo
Same here. Best head, shoulders and proportions I`ve seen in a long time in a WL female (or ever). Lovely pigment and really well aged

Thanks everyone for the nice comments about Xena.. I feel the same way about her. She is very well put together for a working line..and for her age as well. I hope she continues to stay like this.
Nans, I wish I had more pictures of her as a puppy.. But I didn't take any. I have maybe 5 pictures of her under a year.😟

She's not "well put together.....for a working line".....she is simply well put together (no caveats !). Clearly, structures like hers are built to last. I sincerely hope that the GSD as a breed, move into a structure like hers, and move away from the droopy rears and roachy backs.

Thank you. I have always been more than pleased with how well Xena is put together. She moves very nice and free.. I am also happy with her conformation.. I would love another dog built like her
