Tox. rpt shows timing indicates someone gave Jagger this stuff  AFTER he

returned home to Belgium, following the Show, and not @ Crufts.

Still a heinous act toward dog and owners...

Yes.  Still that.   I expect the Kennel Club is pretty relieved it does not

seem to be related to Crufts Show.   Guess this might be a neighbour with

a beef  (sorry, no pun intended !)  about barking, or jealous of owners

fame, or something ?

Yes, why that dog? Maybe they will be able to trace the types of poison...

in the broadest sense i find myself  more and more in alignment with what i think peta is about.

if the public was educated on how their food was produced they would voluntarily all be buddhist vegans.

i say that from a member of the food animal and plant production industry.

if the industry does not have a radical change and the public are increasingly educated to the actual facts it will be disaster for the industry as it stands.

it is only right and moral that we change.

this post has nothing to do with the cruft's incident.

Vk, if that's the case, you best turn your dogs out and let them stop being dependent on you for sustanace. They get sliced open by a tusker, you must let them die. Being ethical in the treatment of animals is being humane....however, Peta is radical to the extreme, and would definitely frown upon you earning any money by your exploitation of your hounds and gsd.

joan not sure how letting an animal die of injury is in line with the peta agenda, please explain?

i have no doubt there are radicals in peta, like any ideals based org it will have the full spectrum of personalities, does not follow the whole thing is off kilter.

it to me is self evident that sow-stalls, factory hens, puppy mills, some common feed-lot practices, excessive use of pesticides entering the food chain......etc, etc are just wrong with no further jusification required.

Peta runs one shelter with a 90% kill rate. They believe that the life of a rat = the life of a boy = the life of a dog.
Peta = radical wackos
Look up quotes by Ingrid Newkirk, the founder and pres of Peta. And this, as an example of extreme personality..... Ingrid Newkirk’s Unique Will

DIRECTIONS  FOR THE DISPOSITION OF THE REMAINS OF INGRID NEWKIRK
As someone who has dedicated a part of my life to the alleviation of animal suffering in various parts of the world, it is my wish that upon my death, my body be used to further that same goal. It is with this purpose in mind that I make the following directions and designations relating to the disposition of my final remains. I make these directions and designations after thorough consideration and pursuant to my firm belief in the purposes for which they are made.

1. Upon my death, it is my wish that my body be used in a manner that draws attention to needless animal suffering and exploitation. To accomplish this, I direct that my body be donated to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), 501 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23510, to be used in whatever manner it chooses in order to accomplish the specified purpose, with the hope that most of my body will be put to use in the United States, with parts also dispatched to awaken the public consciousness of governments and citizens in the United Kingdom, where I was born, in India, my beloved childhood home, and in Canada, Germany, and France.

2. While the final decision as to the use of my body remains with PETA, I make the following suggested directions:

a. That the “meat” of my body, or a portion thereof, be used for a human barbecue, to remind the world that the meat of a corpse is all flesh, regardless of whether it comes from a human being or another animal, and that flesh foods are not needed....

Seriously ?   Doubt any executor would be legaly allowed to do her

bidding.  [Is she dead yet ?]

Visions of people trying to carry one of her chopped-off feet through

British Customs in their luggage ...
