I cannot explain it any better than anyone else. All I know is this site is the only site I have ever seen it on.

I use premium malwarebytes and the only thing I found that was associated with this (albeit loosely) was that "shopathome" thing that mwb didn't feel the need to block. I changed some settings, updated a few things, and am going to see what happens over the next week to see if it's really all good now.

Guys we must all hang out too much if this is just a random bug on everyones computers. Tongue Smile

Seriously though, I just ran a virus scan and adware cleaner (which did remove a couple things), but as soon as I got on here I got that full-page flash thing again. The fact that this is the only website any of us are getting it on leads me to believe it is something in the site or servers that is the issue, rather than our individual computers on opposite sides of the country/world. It's just too much of a coincidence.

I re-installed virus and malware software, thought that would fix it but tonight it's popped up twice.

It doesn't pop up anywhere else but here.

GSD Admin, thanks for clarifying that.

I, too, have the premium [paid subscription-version] of Malwarebytes, and use ESET Smart Security 7 as my antivirus & firewall on my PC, and I honestly have NOT gotten the Flash update screen or anything else when logging in here. Disclaimer: this machine is somewhat of a dinosaur, and I'm still riskily running XP because I've got several programs that are so old they can't run on anything newer than XP, so if this is a Windows 7 or 8 bug, that may matter. Except that my work laptop is running Win7, and naturally has all kinds of big-deal virus blocking and firewalls and restricted-access when it comes to a lot of sites, and I've not gotten the flashware screen when I log on to this site with that machine, either. Not saying I don't believe you guys are having this problem, just saying it's definitely not an 'everyone' thing because so far I've not seen it... I can see why it makes it difficult for Oli and the Admins to track down what's going on.

Hey,

I believe you guys I just don't think it is coming from here. It is just triggered here. I could see if everyone was clicking on a link and it happened with say the same ad or same link. What brings it on? Just logging in or are you clicking on something?

Example - I got a nasty on my laptop this weekend (because my malwarebytes wasn't in malicious website mode) and everytime I refreshed at ebay I would get a pop-up for some god forbidden site. I used this free program http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ from bleepingcomputer.com and it fixed the issue.

I have contacted one of you please do as I ask for testing and PM me back.

GSD,

I used a computer owned by someone else who's having issues with the Adobe issue on this domain. Basically, the full-screen hijack for an important adobe update (same as the screenshot previously posted, but with a different .de url) at the first page I went to on PDB. I loaded one at random from their history. The page popped up, then was hijacked. I closed the window, and reloaded the same page. This time, no hijack. A few random clicks around the site, and it popped up again.

Has anyone tweaked up their routers recently?

Running a virus scan won't do anything. Router issues won't show. The issue was never on any computer or server. The issue was on the user's wireless router. Most routers' firmware is pretty easy to load unwanted stuff onto; and very hard to get rid of. I'd bet the majority of people getting the fake Adobe page here are on wireless routers.

This is an image that appeared when, using that computer, I clicked on this very thread. The thread loaded fine. For giggles, I hit "refresh," and this popped up. This one didn't have a .de domain; but the others did.

JC....We are on a wireless router.

Doesn't seem to want to pop up on my Nexus. Only laptop and desk top.

I just clicked on "latest posts" and got the address http://bushowalt.com/

This is something I've never seen before. It never loaded and I just went back and clicked "latest posts" again and it was fine.
