We are not allowed to send emails. I was waiting on them to answer in the forums. I will wait until I know they have read Kims PM and then I will ask for an explanation.

From the PDB Terms of Service:

PEDIGREES

Pedigree listings are to be entered and subsequently edited only in good faith, e.g. to provide additional or updated information to the original pedigree listing, or to correct inaccurate information. Any malicious alteration of a pedigree is strictly prohibited. The pedigree collections assembled on PDB are the intellectual property of the PDB and are not to be disseminated, copied, transmitted, reproduced, or otherwise used without the express written permission of PDB site owner. This requirement does not apply to the use of links to individual pedigrees listed on PDB, which is permitted.

Boy we better shut it all down because no one has ever copied and used a pedigree without written permission, including workingdog.eu. You want all the rules enforced literally, okay.

Thanks Blitzen

Is this is why GSD Admin said they did not think the member acted maliciously, even though they have not been in contact with them. LOL

I'll try e-mailing the member, because PMs don't work and I'm sure no one else has contacted them already. LOL

I have now been in communication with the member who is the subject of this post, I'm satisfied with their response and consider this matter closed now.

I want to thank those of you who supported my concerns about our dogs pedigree being altered.

"I have now been in communication with the member who is the subject of this post, I'm satisfied with their response and consider this matter closed now."

Wait, what? That's it? After all the chest-puffing and boot-clomping and posturing and demanding the person publicly state their reason, in a post to this thread, for annotating the dog's pedigree without your knowledge or permission, we're all left out here in the cold to wonder what explanation was offered to you that you found to your satisfaction? Oh, Pirate's Lair Kim, how could you DO this to everyone--whip us all into a fiery frenzy, and then just leave all in that state, unquenched?

Seriously, though I have no dog in this fight, I really didn't much see what the flap was all about--unless I'm misunderstanding, and the dog Rush isn't currently, or wasn't recently, in residence at the Slovakian Police K9 Breeding Station?  Because I would think that it's a feather in the dog's pirate hat, so the speak, that his genetics are so desirable to the Slovakian police's breeding program that they made arrangements for him to stay there for a period of time to allow some of their brood bitches to be covered by him...doesn't sound like something one would want kept a secret, as if it were a terrible thing, unless, of course, it's not accurate.

Kim, glad to hear that you got an explanation that alleviated your concerns and anger, and that there will be no need for the pitchforks and blazing torches, at least not today. Which is good, since I need to use the pitchfork to go feed my cows tonight.

Mazel tov!

Have to also point out that it's hard to believe that anyone reading the annotation of "Slovak Police K9 Breeding Station" would conclude that the dog himself had been awarded a title, description, or designation as a BREEDING STATION... and if the annotation had dropped the "K9" modifier, it would have sounded like the dog was at, or had come from, a Slovakian Police Breeding Station, where Slovakian men and women were paired up to produce little Slovakian police officers. Which, I would think, the Slovaks would find far more offensive than the suggestion that the dog was at a breeding station for the production of police K9 candidates.
