If you are in latest posts and click post new message, it will put it in conformation. You have to select a forum. This is why you see so many new threads start in conformation and end up getting moved to another forum.

The right-wing Christians in the U.S. have gotten sooo far away from what I consider mainstream Christianity (especially here in Canada) that it makes me cringe to be lumped together with them under the Christian banner. I'm sure others feel the same way.

I'm curious as to what you mean by right wing? I'm also curious Sunsilver how you know you yourself will go to Heaven when you die? You are a mainstream Christian, am I reading your post correctly? Maybe you could delve into that a little further too, so I can understand the differences between the two?

the vast majority of xians i meet IRL are very generous, kind, humble and rational people with a really strong sense of purpose. they rallied against creationists tryong to manipulate politics to teach religion as science, i don't know any that treat scripture as a science textbook, they consider them more moral teachings and stories and most admit they have no idea what some scriptures mean, does not diminish their faith one bit.

the young ones deny the OT and focus solely on the NT, they even hand out free bibles minus the OT.

they never bring up religion unless asked directly and then they speak straight form the heart. they typically shun evangelicals, young earthers, fundamentalists etc as money making scam artists and kooks.

as far as personal behaviours they have the same amount of good and bad actions as theists of other religions and non-believers.

RS how do you know YOU are going to heaven, do you think you will get your own mansion.

Yes Vk, it is a public forum , it is also a free world and I am not entitled to answer your stupid questions.

I am asking Sunsilver because she is saying she is embarrassed to associate with right wing Christians. It is pertinent to the discussion to understand exactly what constitutes a right wing Christian vs a mainstream if they are not both followers of Christ. After all only Christians are worried about getting to Heaven, so that is a valid question as I am a Christian too. Get it?

I doubt you do, but maybe you'll get this. I'm done answering anything you ask. At one time I thought you actually were interested in possibly learning, now I know better.
