Look at what the GSDCA has done to the GSD! It looks like a GSD, but they have made it a ghost of it's former self. No guts, just the same blood lines, and the same people running the Organization. Now that this man is a member, I would always wonder, if a person bought a GSD, did it come from him? I could never trust the GSDCA Organization EVER! This is a REAL TRAVESTY!! Dawn Bonome P.S. I have German Bloodlines!

The Hunte Corporation purchases puppies from "breeders" and warehouse them in their facility and then ships them to petshops. I will leave you to decide what kind of breeder sells their puppies to a wholesaler to market to pet shops. As far as the concern about ARs working to pass laws to limit our rights as dog owners and breeders, yes we need to fight hard to protect our rights. However, it is because we do not police ourselves that the ARs are able to convince the lawmakers and the public that these laws are needed. Along with working to protect my rights to breed, I will protect Mr. Hunte's right to his business. However, I will also work to educate people on why people like Mr. Hunte and those who supply him with puppies should be put out of business by not buying from them. Further, I will never forgive the GSDCA for allowing him membership. I hope the SV and FCI terminate their relationship with the GSDCA.

Membership in the GSDCA gives Hunte the legitimacy he so badly seeks. Other breed clubs are going ballistic over his admission into GSDCA. It will be interesting to see what the members have to say and if they take a course of action againt those BOD member who voted him in. I no longer belong to GSDCA, but expect we will hear what is going on sooner or later.

The Hunte Corporation purchases puppies from "breeders" and warehouse them in their facility and then ships them to petshops. Does this mean he is buying out of country and quarantining them untill after the rabies shots? What would be any other logical reason for warehousing, then reship, would drive up the cost. You better believe this is because the GSD is in the top 10 of most owned dogs. Well, here is another job shipped over seas..........

VBK9, you took the words right out of my mouth, thanks. If it's true they buy puppies and resells them, then that is in know way reducing the mud yard breeder, it is in fact encouraging them. I am not for additional regulations controlling breeding facilites for legitimate breeders. However, I find the thought of a 100,000 square foot breeding facility using semi-trucks to transport puppies across the US as less then ethical. And less then what should be expected of any "breeder" accepted into a breed specific organization.

I'm confused. Can't anyone who owns a GSD become a member of the GSDCA? I went to the GSDCA website & thats what it says about membership. Is there another kind of membership, or are they referring to some kind of endorsement? AKC has been a whore forever so no surprises there!

--- >AKC has been a whore forever so no surprises there! Gotta agree with you! I look upon them as parasites. They have their own agenda, IMHO.

I would like to know something else. Where due all those puppies go that do not sell, his new incenorator? I seriously doubt he is raising them and training them and selling adults. You can not tell me there is never product left on the shelves!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, anyone can join the GSDCA simply by completeing an on-line application and sending along the money. Applicants names go into the GSDCA monthly magazine, The Review, for comments. After a specified time passes, the GSDCA Borad then reviews any comments and votes on the applicant.
