I think apples do keep doctors away...  that was my question..DO YOU THINK AN APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY//??

Or is it a myth like other things that many  claim to be.???

All I learnt about apples is that they come from near Iran and .... The same tree can have a great variety of flavored apples! so, they have a trick to getting the orchard uniform.

An apple a day couldn't hurt, as long as they are local and not commercially grown by some corporation who rely on both pesticides and chemical fertilizers, or GMO's, or shipped in from some country where there are no restrictions on pesticides and produce is fogged with even more chemicals for shipment.

Vitamins, fiber, good for the teeth, and very tasty, Winesap being my favorite, makes great Cider too.

Even if you find a worm in your apple, they are better for you than the pesticides, it might gross you out, but it's edible protein, builds character....lol

The doctor thing, I think they were talking about dentists......:)

More myth than reality is my opinion.

btw doctors rarely come to you these days so keeping them "away" when you go to them makes no sense and apples are associatted with dentists not doctors.
