WORST. BACKGROUND. EVER!!
Now, I can understand NOT wanting to have my ugly mug in the photo. Truly I can. But do NOT do THIS!
ESPECIALLY if your dog is the same colour as your hat!  Teeth Smile

Thank you for the encouragement all of you!

Euroshepherd, as I was reading through the chapter in my book last night, it teaches how to train the dog to self stack. I want to try it for sure!

And as for the background, it's interesting that you mentionn it as I am quite picky about it! For example, I swept the concrete floor before the photo
shoot as there was dirt and leaves, not very appealing. IMO, even the dog looks less appealing and then you give a bad impression to whoever views your dog.
Even Makes you wonder what conditions they are kept under....so, hoping to practice some more hopefully this coming weekend! :D

Sunsilver, I'll be sure to wear a different ccolor hat! I don't want people thinking I have a camel GSD :P LOL
The puppy is a gorgeous sable though!

Hi there,

Nice dog, nice stacking pictures. Could not tell you anything more that what is already said by other posters.
How old is your dog? What is her weight and height?

Hello Seeofred, she is 3 years old. My memory is quite bad but last time she weighed about 66 lb. She is a medium sized female. Measures 23 in at the withers.

Just a though after watching some newby's at conformation class last night. Try not to place your dogs back feet too far apart. For some reason a lot of people want to spread the back legs way apart. When they should be hip width apart and parallel to each other. When viewed from behind the hocks should still be straight. If they are too far apart they will be tilted in towards the body.
I was taught that you move the outside back leg first then the inside back leg, then move to the front and if needed move the outside front leg from the elbow not by the wrist. Then the inside front leg. (Inside being closest to you)
And remember have fun!

Hi,
Fry has given very good guidance as have the rest.
Just maybe you should use food or a toy to attract the dog ,
this will help improve the expression
and the dog will look more animated.
