my goodness people she asked for help not to get torn a new ass!!! Though alot of you were right breeding isnt for everyone, but putting someones nose in it is not either. i never respond to add on here but felt i should on here. let's off back off just a little!! Christina i feel for you but lower the price. i would not pay that much for a pup either.

If you are advertising your pups, getting responses but not selling your pups for the price, then you probably need to lower the price. If you're not advertising, then that's what you need to do. not in the paper, though I guess that's an option if you need to sell them fast and cheap (that's what people who advertise in the paper care about) - but there are various places on the internet where you could advertise your puppies, describe the parents and all of their accomplishments including titles and hip ratings, make sure you have a guarantee/contract in place - website certainly wouldn't hurt either. MI GSD gave you a very generous offer as well. molly

Those who encouraged you to make a website and advertise on some of the puppy classifieds are correct. You can market this litter, but you need to do it with tons of info on the parents, and pictures of the parents and the pups. Pictures are everything. Do a yahoo or google search for puppy classifieds, and you'll find several websites where you can advertise for free or CHEAP. Those that jumped down your throat simply for asking for help should back off. Good luck to you.

Christina, I think you are asking a fair price for your pups. At least I'd pay $1000 if you had the puppy I wanted. Hope you find them all good homes. I looked at some of the pics and they are adorable.

Simple. Lower your price and concentrate on WHO gets your pups. Not on who will pay a thousand. Sell them for 400 but be very particular about who gets them. With a lower price, you can better control the type of person who gets your pups. Also, understand in the future how difficult it is to sell puppies. There are adds all over the net selling puppies and a pup for a thousand dollars is easy to find. You will not make money selling puppies IF you care about the home they go to. Recognize that fact and adjust your life accordingly.

You can only do so much. If your giving everyone information on the pups and parents, advertising on the internet, lowering the price, and most of all having a written contract, then there is so much you can do. When you have a litter you can't depend on them selling right away all the time, you have to be prepared to take on the responsibility to take care of those pups as long as you have them, and even when they sell. When we sell a puppy, we make sure we are always there for the entire life of that puppy. We are also prepared if and when our puppies don't sell right away. I also think that if no one really know's you or your kennel, then they hesitate on buying from that kennel. just MO

Thank you all for the good feedback. I told MI GSD I would not accept any help without giving proper compensation. I will lower the price, I have health issues now that I did not have last year, I do want them to get loving, secure homes. All the kindness that was shared on this board far outweighs the nastiness, and I appreciate it very much, thank you.

Christina, here is the gods honest truth. those that you see advertising and selling puppies for $1000 - $1500 are doing the following. 1. have worked very hard for a long time to create a name for themselves. they are respected in the community and know people who are in the market for a nice dog and are willing to pay that amount. there are some breeders that command these pricing and offer contracts, when everyone knows their handshake is worthe more than any contract. 2. have done a very good job marketing their dogs and have either mislead or convinced someone that their dogs are worth $1000. So the reason your puppies are not selling for $1000 is because they or you lack the percieved value of $1000. Or you are not doing agood job of selling them. you need to either lower your price or make more room. NOW... Brittany..... WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG W. YOU. you stupid bitch, maybe this poor girl is using her dogs to make muney, maybe she isnt. but based on the simple fact that she came to this board looking for help tells me she is willing to listen. but she most likely doesnt want to hear your self rightous bullsh*t. who the F*CK do you think you are? why is that you take every opportunity you can to scold others? perhaps to make you feel better. Ive watched you on several occasions just go off on people who were simply looking for information. WHY IS THAT?? Surely other people have to be tired of your crap. you give plenty of advice on things you have no knowledge of experience in. From here foward i only want you to speak when spoken to and only give advice on how to be a rude BITCH. no advice on breeding, none on training, nothing. ONLY QUESTIONS and SILINCE until you are spoken too. some are here to share ideas and discuss theories, other come to learn and ask questions. BUT NO ONE IS INTERESTED IN KNOW HOW MUCH BETTER YOU THINK YOU ARE THAN EVERYONE ELSE.
