LTS, do you have a scanner? I have successfully used one to get a film onto the computer and post. It comes out a tad light, but a photo editor can darken it or you can email it to someone on here and we could help darken it. Just leave the resolution large.
Also, according to USA old films are no longer being accepted without sedation. So, the old ones of Farah are definitely invalid. If they had been sent in to USA sooner, they could have been rated.

My post was not to favor one side over the other - as I stated it's hard to know who to believe in this situation! The whole thing just seems to dissuade a potential buyer as well as anyone wanting to learn about the breed - I know it has left me with a bad feeling.
Cesna, I do not know you or LTS, I'm just stating how reading this saga has made me, and probably many others, feel. I don't want to get further into Shepherds because i just don't know who to trust anymore, as a buyer or a seller.
Maybe this serves to remind people that you can ask a potential buyer for references too (and you should)!!!
Through it all, it's the dog that suffers as everyone fights back and forth, defending their actions and trying to make themselves look better.... can Farah get compensated for PAIN and SUFFERING???
Not to mention all the people that did buy her puppies, if I had I'd be super UPSET right now, reading through this thread!

And potential sellers should ask buyers for references as well... There is where I failed ... For the dog!

It's an unfortunate situation for sure. If LTS is selling the dog for $900 (and only cares about the money), I'm not sure why she just wouldn't sell her back to you for $1200, her original purchase price. Something doesn't sound right to me.....
And what about her hip status - will we ever learn the truth about that?
Maybe if the Xrays get put up, some of this could get cleared up.

This dog was only $1200 in the first place?? LTS bought a "breeding quality" dog for $1200???
When are people going to learn that there are no young, truly "breeding quality" dogs for sale for $1200?! If you want to breed, start out with breeding quality dogs. If you can't afford them, then sorry, you don't deserve a whole lot of sympathy when you can't get by with the cheapest dogs you can find just because you're desperate to breed, right now.

I wish I had made copies of the hip and elbow X-rays that were sent with the dog... Normally I have copies of everything that I X-ray ... I would like to compare them to the films the buyer took and the prelims that were done in Germany.

Yep, I stand corrected. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, LTS. I even defended you, asked people to give you a chance to prove that you could do right by the breed and your puppy buyers, to not pile on with negative comments whenever you posted an inquiry on one of the forums, because I thought perhaps if you were given a fair opportunity, you'd rise to the occasion.
How stupid of me--you're in it for the money and nothing more; breeding GSDs is your 'job', it's how you make your living and you don't give a damn about anyone or anything save yourself. Yeah, other people sell dogs, for all kinds of reasons, but that's not the telling point here. The telling point is that you've been evasive and deceptive when it comes to why you've suddenly decided to sell Farah, and with your insinuation that Farah's hips are not sound [saying they 'won't pass OFA' is the same as saying she has hip dysplasia], as if you had ever made an effort to know the status of the hips on your other breeding dogs prior to using them to earn your 'salary', is absolutely insulting to anyone who's ever known the disappointment of learning their beloved dog was dysplastic.
LTS, I'll bet if [when] you can't get anyone to buy 'hips won't pass OFA' Farah at your price, she'll be right back in your whelping box and raising yet another crop of canine 'cash cows' for you. And it will come as no surprise.
