Good to know the DDR are so good hips correctors, they were supose to be more used to save the show dogs from degenerative ill done by intensive inbreeding made by breeders all over the world trying to put a good croup, a "better" (in their opinion) collor, a angulation like this or like that, a correct size, all those goals seems to fail when the health and workability are affected. The DDR may be the way to correct it, plus restrict inbreeding to four generations.

Tina5, check out www.vombanachk9homestead.com She has Czech and DDR dogs. All good working dogs and nice looking. Typical blocky heads, heavy bone and dark pigment. She has much to choose from.

I have one of each..I have a very nice czech female... http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/475396.html and I also have a DDR female.... http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/481402.html My czech female, Xena, has over the top prey drive. She has nice bone and is going to be a very nice working female. I plan on trying to go to the Nationals with her when she is old enough and titled to SchH3. She is a little handler soft. She has matured SO fast it is amazing. She is only 8 months old now and is more mature than my 3 year old showline male. Her determination for the toy is amazing. My DDR,Brix, female is very slow maturing. She is shy with people and is a little bit nervy. I have heard that this is typical of the DDR dogs at this age, she is 6 months old. We own her half brother who is DDR/west german showline. He is VERY confident. I am hopeing that Brix will come out of this and be a nice working female. I would like to title her to SchH3. I dont think at this time that she is national caliber though. I have decided that I like the Czech lines better.
