All of above and a few more suggestions:
1. Graphics need to associate the pet nutrition to a healthy active happy pet.  I would add something with a pet playing / being active, outdoors.
2.  Colors - Graphics need to get someone's attention in 1 second or less.  It is the graphics that get the people to read further.

This is a logo not an ad, right?
The blue color is good, house color needs to be brighter, bright (not pale) yellow is good.
As a logo, the pet(s) being a silhouette will work.
The idea of getting your daughter to draw the picture is a great one.  Children drawings (even the stick figures) quickly get people's attention.

Yes. :)
I think it is good. I agree with putting a dog (GSD would be nice ;) ) in front of your house, or looking out the window.
As for colourful wrapping. honestly, I see Beneful (by Purina) with all the fancy pkging, then I read what crap it is from consumers. There are so many phony marketing ploys out there now that they don't draw me in at all.
When it comes down to it, quality ingredients for a reasonable price is what makes me buy any dog food.

Thanks Red Sable. Great points Fawndallas, I will wait till all ideas and suggestions from friends here are laid down then I will write them down then we set together, re draw the logo and come back here and post the result for reviews. Great suggestions so far, thanks everyone, keep the suggestions coming please. I wish there was some one here good at using photoshop to put all those ideas into effect :).

I do not have the steady hands like I used to.  Here a combination of a couple of pictures I found on the internet that show what I am talking about.  The colors are good and attention getting. Also, it is different and not what you typically see with pet food ads.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS EXACT PICTURE, AS IT BELONGS TO A CHILD AND PART OF IT IS COPYRIGHTED.

Susie, for what it is worth, I want to go to "your" very inviting house and see what you are feeding your pets. Nice Job!  Many ideas to work with and I think Ibrahim will see the difference.

As far as colors go, too, believe it or not, but green is considered a "warm" color.

Ibrahim, I am not sure, but these houses with the picket fences seem very "Western" to me, are they common where you are as well? (I live in an old farm house with a picket fence, lol).  There is a good chance I am not understanding your target market well enough?

I would love to see a drawing from your daughter of her idea of "Amman House Petnutrition?"

... and on a side note.... I was not impressed at all with your designer's choice of fonts.  Are you paying this person? Hmmm? Just wondering.

Yes, Susie is onto the right idea. Personalize it with your daughters drawings.
I guess I missed where you said you were doing this .
I just found a dog food factory not far from my house where they told me they would manufacture my "recipe" for me.

I am importing petfood to Jordan where I distribute it. The idea is to make a Logo for my company. As a matter of fact it is a Logo not an advertisement.
And yes beetree, imagine...... I am paying the designer but to be honest I was the one with those "idiotic ideas in the above posted Logo". I even selected those colors Red Smile
Susie drawing is fantastic for an advertisement, Designer says "give me guidelines and leave the design to me". He says Logo should be simple, there shouldn't be so many details like in Susie's drawing. So I will write down all your ideas and suggestions, give it to him and see what he will do, this time I will not interfere with the drawing itself. He said if I like it I pay and take it, if not I don't pay and find someone else, I think that is fair enough.
beetree, no that type of fence is only in my head, you don't see it around here Teeth Smile

Maybe instead of a people-house, do a dog house? If it is for a pet food, after all. And if it is just a simple logo you could... well here, let me sketch....

There, something like that! If it is just simple, I mean. The dog silhouette is something easy, yet looks good (a better one than mine, of course... :P), and unique enough to be good on a logo, I think. And you could fill in the "house" with whatever color you wanted.
