so very sorry for your loss.  just know that you do not suffer alone.  it probably doesn't help right now, but
lots of us have been there and will be again.  try to focus on the good times as much as possible rather
than her last day or last few moments.  as time goes on, it will get easier.  you never get over losing
them and you can never replace them, but the pain subsides and you are more able to remember
all the good stuff and smile more instead of crying.  give yourself time to heal.

It is so hard to say goodbye, but you shared a great love story and great love stories never die. I don't think you will have to look very hard for her when your time comes to cross over......

You laid out a shining path of love for her to leave this earth by and I am sure that she walked down it with peace in her heart.
I am so sorry for how you are feeling now.  I know she must have left a devastatingly huge hole in your heart and it will take time for you to heal.  I feel sorry for anyone who never gets to feel this deep loss for it means they never felt this depth of love either. You will see her in your dreams and she will walk beside you all the days of your life.

OMG, Char..... I know there are no survivors in DM, but each loss still hits like a ton of bricks. It is something one cannot wrap one's head around. I know you fought the good fight, pulling out all the stops to try to beat the DM monster into the ground. You gave it your all, and I know Shelby knew and loved you even the more for your efforts. There is such a special bond between DM dog owners and their furry kids. It is a bond like no other.  Its so hard living day to day and keeping that cheery attitude, to keep them going, stress free... Its a battle for them, as well as for us. I know there are no words that will bring you comfort, at this time- there are no adequate words are in any language! The pain cuts like a knife- no...worse.... Please know I understand your pain and what you are feeling. My heart goes out to you, and I am sending tons of comforting cyberhugs. I am here for you if you need to talk. PM me your phone if you wish- I have a soft shoulder. I am sure Missie T and  Jack Flash have taken Shelby under their angel wings. Joss is probably there, as well, teaching her how to  make mischief in the heavens, for even the heavens wouldnt be able to correct Joss's mischevious streak.
