Welcome to The “Bad ” Side of Dog Training (Undertsanding Punishment)
This is an advanced course (mostly theory) on the use of punishment, avoidance learning and use of corrections in dog training. This is a must for any dog trainer that wants to excel. All myths about punishment ( good and bad) will be explained and demystified! If you are an advocate of “punishment free training” or firm believer in avoidance learning, if you are seasoned competitor or beginner dog trainer, this course will take you to a different level of understanding and I guarantee you, you will be a better trainer on Monday! - You will learn the laws of Punishment.
- You will learn how to use Corrections to eliminate behavior without making negative association with the desired behavior.
- You will also learn how use correction and NOT allow the dog to stay in “avoidance”.
- You will learn how to correct/punish puppies.
- You will learn how deal with extremely fearfull, dominant or aggressive dogs trough punishment
- You will learn about the wide variety of correction collars and what works best where. You will be exposed to the way Ivan uses electric collar in training.

- dogs that respond poorly to corrections ( shutting down, developing aggression, etc.)
