meanderer.. I bought my GSD who is a VA1 Chuck van der Lust & Dux della Valcuvia grandson for $2500.00. I did some research and it seemed to be worth this GERMAN bred GSD (I gew up with an AM Bred). Well, he is also cryptorchid. I'm pretty sure the breeder knew he only had one that was descended - but no one said anything to us and we had first pick male. By the time we knew it would not descend we were already in love with him. When we were picking out a puppy, we didn't even know that it was possible to get a puppy with only one testicle! Bottom line is: We will NEVER pay this again. You never know what you're going to get. Live and learn.
