It shouldn't be only about what they produced but also how they conducted themselves after the problem was brought to their attention

Oh, mylanta. They're crawling out of the woodworks again, like cockroaches.

by joanro on 20 November 2012 - 16:11

You're right, Jenni. Talk about birds of a feather.......the only true statement from allenf/ aadelah/mellmell (can't tell them apart)

Aadilah, you made a lot of noise already....now where is the proof of what you are talking about ?  On the surface, what you state does sound plausible, since we are talking about a large breeder who deals with clients that span the whole globe, and out of 1000s of puppies sold, a few would have had HD.  But again, where is the evidence here, over and above the talk ?

It amazes me how, with all the GSD knowledge and experience on this forum, how people are so quick to jump on the Breeder for a GSD with bad hips.

Even with my limited experience and knowledge, I am not dumb enough to expect/demand that I get a GSD with 100% guarantee of no HD.   If a breeder made that claim to me, I would be very suspicious.   Yes, paying thousands of dollars for a dog, I would expect some due diligence on the part of the breeder to do their best to minimize the risk.  It is also up to me to make sure I have done my due diligence to make sure I am getting the best dog possible.  If, after all that, I still wind up with a dog with HD, well, it is the luck of the draw and I got the short end of Mother Nature.  Would I tell the breeder, yes.  They are working to make a better breed; all input will help them with that in the long run.  If the breeder makes an effort to help me with the devastating news, what a God send, but I do not expect it.

Don't bash the breeder because you got the short end of Mother Nature.  If you get in with a bad breeder, grow up and walk away.  The only way to get rid of bad breeders is to stop giving them money.  Bashing them in public does nothing, but give the appearance that you are a trouble maker; especially if you do not support with facts, not emotion.

To op, Jirkova dvora is a kennel name that has bred hundreds of dogs. If you are concerned it would be benificial for someone just simply post the stud and dams of these 2 pups you personally know. Not just a kennel name.

I'm with Hank, It would be nice to know which dogs have produced these pups rather than to put a kennel name out there.  As we all know that the more pups produced from the sire or dam the more chance there is for this to pop up.

Any one wanna go snipe hunting ? Because that's what this OP, (mellmell/allenf/ aadilaho7) is taking ya'll on.

Yeah Joan I'll go--let me go find the burlap bag I keep for such occasions.

Yep Aa you have two friends already and neither of them have any credibility because they came here to stir the pot too, just like you did if you are who you say you are.

What toy am I bored with? I have been working this morning and fooling with my dogs. I am retired and can work when I want and take breaks when I want. The only thing I am bored with is you guys' BS on both threads..................but it gives me a laugh and a chance to work out my frustrations on line.
