Allenf, really??

by allanf on 19 November 2012 - 00:11

joanro, Really what????? Do you have the recent edition of Ettinger's? What.. what.. WHAT????

by joanro on 19 November 2012 - 01:11

Allenf, speaking of substantiation: how do you know the dog in the video is suffering from ED and isn't the victim of a vehicular impact? How do you know the dog is even remotely related to any of my dogs?
How do you come to unsubstantiated claims concerning Hexi's intelligence and Gustav's knowledge of the GSD?
How do you come to unsubstantiated claims that I have dogs producing ED ?
How do you know I if am a responsible breeder or not?
I think you don't know what you are talking about, and you are changing words to suit your flimsy argument.

by allanf on 19 November 2012 - 01:11

joanro, OK. You are denying that the dog in the video was bred by you. You really should have made that clear in the youtube comments. I have removed the referrence to you as the breeder in my earlier post. Please accept my apologies.

Nevertheless, the dog in the video does show the symptoms of ED, and no-one in there right mind would want to risk breeding a dog like that.

Sure wish I had x-ray vision...

OK, I watched that video posted by allanf and I am disgusted with the owner of the dog. Why is she purposely putting her dog in pain and why did she allow it to go on for so long? My neighbor's pup had genetic FCP and she had symptoms at 4 months of age, surgery at 5 months. Why did the owner sit on this issue if it is "genetic"? The way the dog was acting, it seemed like it sustained some sort of trauma or was neglected for a long period of time. Just my 2 cents.

Did I miss something here?  The OP apparently contacted the breeder claiming that she was sold a dog with ED.  The breeder, not having any pups to offer as a replacement and understandably having some reservations about doing so anyway since some questions exist about whether or not the dog in question has been abused and/or neglected, offers to refund the purchase price of the dog if it does, in fact, have ED and if the dog is returned.  The OP steadfastly refuses to provide documentation verifying said ED and instead embarks on an internet smear campaign.

Along comes some self-professed expert demanding documentation on the breeder's dogs and contributes to the smear campaign when the breeder doesn't produce said documentation because, well, it isn't really any of his business, and, inasmuch as he's an expert and whatnot, he should be able to get that information himself, if he was so inclined.  Am I getting this right?

Hey, Allan, since you revealed in your first post to this forum that your second GSD was born from your first and that all of your GSD's were well bred, how about you share the pedigree of your first dog so that we can all see the titles, breed surveys and health clearances you did on the dog you bred?  I would love to see them!

by allanf on 19 November 2012 - 01:11

Thanks Keith, I was wondering how many I would flush out. LOL! I'm very much inclined to get the information myself. What are the names of the parents of the dog in question? The breeder has refused to provide it.

Thought this was an interesting read. It is about traumatic fragmented medial coronoid process from jumping. Yep, from jumping, not genetics.

Again, Allan, I think you can find that information for yourself.  I found myself interested in Vom Ron's breeding program several months ago and was able to satisfy my curiosity by starting with the breeding stock presented on her website and working from there.
