You want examples, Jim?

How about these:

"Well, that was an aggression to aggression breeding and those cause weak nerves."

"I need to find a girlfriend for my boy. He gets too upset and nervous when he's home alone. She needs to be solid black so I can get a solid black puppy to keep him company."

"He ran into a bush and cut his face up. I'm going to breed him after his 3" (The dog had MANGE, not cuts on his face)

Let's face it; it's a SPORT- not exactly rocket science. One need not be any form of genius to partake. Just as many morons hang out in the dog sport crowd as the football crowd, as the baseball crowd, as the car enthusiast crowd, etc. Whether Aadiliah has titled anything or not is irrelevant. And THAT was my only point.

No need for examples.  It seems nothing is rocket science except maybe.............................. rocket science.  One need not to be any form of genius to breed dogs either..................or children for that matter.  This is the good ol' USA where OFA doesn't matter, it's only a suggestion for breeders who want to please others or have dogs that can pass.  Titles are a waste of time and there is no need to work, test, certify any dogs as long as they can be mounted in a back yard.

I happen to like Joan's dogs, for the record.

I wish people that write on here would use their real names especially when they use such language.

What people, J Basler? What language?

Some people who don't use their full names are still pretty well-known and not trying to hide. Then there are those who do nothing but stir trouble and don't WANT anyone to know their real names, ever.

Someone asked me to share my site on here--very recently--I did, my full name and phone # is on there==town I live in--I'm ez to find. I use this handle cause it is my kennel name--on another forum I am on I am the oldest person there and they call me Auntie Von. There are a lot of people who know who I am. My choice..............Then like Jenn says there are others........................

I count kennel names as real names. If you can google the name and find the owner, that person is not the anonymous troll who goes by handle and handle alone and won't even tell someone privately who they are. The biggest shit stirrers I've seen on a forum are on this one and won't tell anyone who they are. Even in private messages if you ask them (like trying to qualify their opinion/knowledge, etc.) they won't answer. To me, if you can't/won't tell anyone who you are, unless you are Big Time Secret Special, your credibilty is seriously compromised.

Hey, maybe if I started using different names, people who hate me would think I had novel ideas, ROFL.

Jenni78, over 5000 posts and this is how you behave...
Trying to correct peoples spelling mistakes is low, especially if the spelling is so close...

Have you thought of becoming a Teacher perhaps, who knows maybe you are one...

You certainly cannot teach dogs that's why you are constantly bad mouthing the SchH groups,
what is it better encouraging the backyard mounting...why don't you tell us how many dogs OR titles you have under your belt...

Since you are trying to proclaim just what a MODEL BREEDER you are...

From what I can see Joan is a very responsible breeder and has good dogs as well.  Secondly, even in dominant genetic diseases, like JRD there is incomplete penetrance where even though 100% carry the gene it will be expressed in only some progeny (2-5% in the case of JRD) and the rest will live normal lives.  I don't know what the statistical chances of two OFA excellent dogs producing HD or ED, but it might be in that range.  Thus, for a single dominant gene even then, it is debatable as to whether the dog should be used if one accepts the fact that for ploygenetic diseases like dyplasia that can also be caused by trauma, it is accaptable to breed 2 OFA fair to excellent dogs even if 2 out of 100 pups show disease.  There are no absolutes except that when dealing with the public you WILL have someone (or two or three) unreasonable people that cannot be satisfied and probably should not have been allowed (in hindsight) to purchase any puppy.  If they won't take a refund and they are making unreasonable demands then court might be the best bet.

Faults in skeletal development can be linked to genetics, nutrition, weight control, exercise regimen, disease, injuries, and probably over vaccination.  The person raising the puppy has to have some knowledge about rearing puppies and work at it every day.  Even then it is possible to get some bad hips and elbows.  Examine what you did to manage the puppies weight and provide superior food and nutrition as well as 1 hour per day or more of off lead exercise with running exercises before blaming the breeder.  Running and good food with high quality ingredients produces puppies with strong bones and leaner muscular bodies just as running and good food produces lean muscular humans.  If you can't feed and exercise the puppy to produce optimum growth and results that is not the breeders fault nor is it a genetic fault.
