Moons anyone who campaigns for public office to be elected needs money or people asking for donations to support his or her campaign. This goes for any party - dems, repubs, indy's, green, etc. It's just now the Corporations, central bankers, special interest lobbyists etc are in control of things. That is what we need to change and the only way to peacefully change it is to get in there and change it.

It costs alot alot money to run your own campaign, costs for filing, permits for demonstrations, travel, campaign materials, publications, radio and tv adverts. It costs millions for a 45 sec cable advert in primetime on MSM. 200 - 800 thousand for anytime radio airtime.

At the local level your not even competition to the current opposition for under 80 - 100 thousand.

In other words, on the local level, that candy store owner, dairy farmer, hairdresser or bull rider needs almost 100 thousand on hand to even begin his or her campaign for the simple position of Mayor of a town. Sheriff's Office is over double that. Now imagine what I'll have to dish out to run against the County Sheriff in 2 years. LOL

Hell, I've been saving since 2007 in hopes to run in 2010 and it's still outta reach to even think about. But then again, I have the Revolution backing me so if I save the minumum myself to run in 2014 or 2018 - and the RP Revolution matches it, I'll be an untouchable firestorm walking into that office and I wouldn't even have to campaign for donations. Hard work paying off. That's exactly what I want. Then the FEDs will honor the US Constitution or kill me to get to my constituents. But it's a rough and tumble to even get the minimum required even at the local level. It's achievable though. I just hope shit doesn't hit the fan till I take that office. LOL Tongue Smile

LOL Where do these people come from !!!

"With the close of the Democratic convention it is now clear that Ron Paul will not be the Democratic Party’s candidate for President in 2012. While Ron Paul did run second to Obama in New Hampshire, picking up almost 4 percent of the vote, unlike John Wolfe, Jim Rogers and Randal Terry, he did not even get close to potentially having any pledged delegates to support him on the floor. Though thanks to the open process of the DNC, much like Hillary Clinton, neither did they.

Pundits have speculated that not actually being on the Democratic Party ballot may have hurt Ron Paul’s chances. Nevertheless Ron Paul did come in second in the New Hampshire Democratic primary, as he did in the Republican primary, giving him two options if he chooses to run again.
