Hundmutter, the other ear is a piece of broken cartilage that's causing the bend :(  The other ear never waved in motion when it was up, and I suspect the one that is up wouldn't wave either if not for the busted cartilage.  I'm amazed that ear stood at all, lol

I bet this dog could win a Veteran Class or two
That is VERY kind of you!  Thank you for such a wonderful compliment!

His good thick coat makes his neck look a little short & 'stuffy' and I think does not help the proportional
Agreed.  I also always wanted more bredth of chest.  He is a bit narrow looking at him from the front.  Depth is good, but he lacks the width.

What's his pedigree ?
You're going to laugh so hard when you see it, lol.  I don't know what "clicked" in his ped, but whatever it was produced an amazing strong, sound dog, and I've had a lot of people (experienced schutzhunders) comment on that.

Here you go.  The picture posted on his pedigree is of him at age 5

So sad about his ears, fate had it out for them huh?   The only fault that stands out to me is his faded saddle.

Otherwise, what a wonderful looking guy!  Excellent shape for his age!

Looking at his photo on his pedigree page, his head/ears looked good.  His tail set is a tad high, which to me says his croup is a tad steep, even though it doesn't really show in his topline.  I do prefer a straighter topline, but his flows well.  Overall I think he's a very nice looking guy.
His pedigree is pretty interesting!  If I hadn't seen it I would have assumed that he was pure W. Ger. showlines.  I bet he gets his deep chest from the Am. Showlines.

Yes, AKC does have veteran classes...not sure if UKC does, but they probably do.

Excellent shape for his age!
Thanks :)  I work hard to keep him in shape not just for his overall health as he ages, but also to keep him working safely for as long as possible.

I do prefer a straighter topline, but his flows well.
I share this sentiment.  Straighter would be better, but he's not hunchy, and he does have a nice wither.

His pedigree is pretty interesting!
It's pretty eclectic, lol.

I have nothing much to add really, I only want to stress how good his withers are (SitasMom noticed them), excellent high and long withers, he reminds me of Ulk von Arlett. I bet this boy could improve the withers, substance & proportions, he doesn't have the exagerated hind angulation, I only wish he had more chest development and a longer front upper arm, that said his front angulation isn't bad at all.

Can you believe I only paid $250 for him?  LOL!

This dog made me fall in love with this breed...and it was a complete accident.

I see a very handsome and intelligent boy! He seems to carry himself with confidence and pride! I see it in his eyes! he reminds me of my K-9 when he was that age..like he is saying "been there.. done that"..!!
