My close friend shows her Black russian Terrier and had to take special care with her coat while living in arizona. The sun absolute started to redden it. She used special coat products to protect the color. I also know someone whose black dog turned reddish after a living a few months in an area where there was a lot of red clay in the dirt, after enough rolling around in it, it started to discolor his coat.
