Even with only 1/2 the story being heard (as the breeder isn't on the PDB) it seems generally agreed that while the dog might not have been a perfect fit, nor exactly what the buyer expected...  The breeder refunded the purchase price with no question and stood behind their dog.   Nobody knows who said what, nor what info on the dog was actually exchanged prior to the purchase.  Even though I've had shepherds for 30 years I'd hesitate to take on a 5 year old dog sight unseen. 

  There's a definite pack mentality when certain people are mentioned here, where folks with no experience with the breeder are ready to pile on and grab their moment in the spotlight.  I have known Kim, and her Mother before that for most of her life. She has Shepherd in her blood, and spends 98% of her time and energy on her dogs.  I took in 2 pups from there (out of Vice's 1/2 sister btw) after her home was destroyed last month.  The 1st thing she did was find friends who were able to raise the pups she had on the ground so they wouldn't be in a leaking wreck of her house with no AC and horrible heat.  These kids arrived here a week after the disaster and are wonderful happy, outgoing healthy pups.   What ever your feelings about the Kennel why not back off or offer to help, instead of throwing stones?  I posted a need for help here last month, which got over 2000 hits, but just one person asking if there was something they could do to help....  not a rousing endorsement for the gentle heart of the PDB...
