OOOOOOOOH, am so sorry for your loss but just remember what a wonderful home you gave him.  RIP Bear.

PS:  I don't blame you for not wanting to go thru the heart problem(s) again, my very special girl ran into my house to greet me and dropped dead at my feet at 6 l/2 years old.  The vet assumed it was her heart, she had a heart attack at that young age.  Shocked the shit out of me;  and I always have just wondered if I hugged her enough, fed her right, etc.  You know what goes thru your mind, but really, dogs do have heart attacks.  Very sad, so chin up you made a diffficult but necessary decision to let him go.  Better dayS AHEAD.  Nan

I am so sorry for your loss, it does hurt, but THANK YOU!!!!  for giving him the best 10 months of his life.

Bear knew he was loved,
Bear knew he was safe in your care,
Bear was happy,
Bear knew you were always there for him,

Bear knew that you gave him all your love,
Therefore, he was content,
Bear knew that YOU loved him,
And Bear loved YOU back...

Remember him for what he gave to you,
And what you gave to him,
He wouldn't have had anything, had you not saved him.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

RIP Sweet Bear...
Steph

That's so sad, I'm glad that you had the time with him you had. Who knows where he may have ended up if not for your kind heart.

Very sorry for your loss.

Bear might have taken his last breath at a shelter had I not taken him last Novenber The people were moving to a house where pets were not allowed and told me they might have no choice but to bring Bear to the pound. (Total losers IMO, typical of what you find on Craigslist.)

Thanks to all for the kind words of compassion. I know you have all suffered your own pain saying good bye to a beloved pet and family member. It comes with the territory I suppose. No matter how long they live, it is never long enough.l

Very sorry to hear about Bear. You did make a very big difference in his life when you took him in.As others have already said, at least he knew love in your home and in your heart.
