Vianden, every time I look at this thread I get teary-eyed, as I know just how precious this birthday of Enno's is to you, having been given the amazing gift of seeing both of my old girls achieve it while still on all four feet (even if they did need a bit of help, just like Enno's)...

If there's reincarnation, I want to come back as one of your dogs...it always touches me to read another of the 'love letters' you write for your dogs, and I think we're priveleged for you sharing them with us. Bless both you and your pack, old and young, and may you all enjoy the longest, healthiest and happiest lives imaginable.

I don't know if you remeber Isis she was Enno's mom and she was a few months from fifteen when she passes away.

Vianden, I DO remember Isis, and I remember discussing how *great* she looked in her 14th birthday pictures, too--if I remember correctly, she got a brand new toy, and some of the pictures were of her playing with it on the lawn...she looked like a senior dog, sure, but she DEFINITELY didn't look like she was 14 years old!   I loved the fire that was still in her eyes, too...and Enno's still got it as well.
