.. my goodness you's like to bicker and bicker. .. I like the price in the ad simply because when I'm searching for something and all details are in the single ad things just keep moving along till you find what your looking for. Call it "buying on a whim or what have you" ... it seems to take me forever to find it anyhows. Just like buying a house or horse ... everyone knows there price range. The biggest problem (I think).. is finding the perfect match. But then again I'm not a fat, rich and dumb American. I'm the complete opposite. JMO. Melissa.

Martin, while I agree pricing should be disclosed I only agree to an extent... I usually adver with a $ or $ range. However when I have walk ups, I only give a range. because that allows me time to "screen" are they pet buyers, or sport buyers, or do they even know... Things I need to know in order to even see if I have available what they need/want. Before anyone is invited to "my home" for paperwork, meet the family, and meet the dogs, Price is disclosed, I am by that time quite certain of what they "truly" want/need for they're lifestyle. I have talked folks out of 1,200.00 pups and into 800.00 pup instead, they "thought" they wanted high drive, but after reviewing schedules, and time frames it was obvious a "high drive" would not have suited them. I beleive I am appropriate to do so. They're my pups if I want to sell them I will (but only to appropriate buyers) If I don't want to sell them I will NOT, simple. so upfront pricing to me has nothing to with high pressure sales, high prices, inflated prices, fat, rich, dumb, any race. It's all about being right by the pup and the buyer. and if that buyer needs an education I am willing to provide it, However if they are in need of education and unwilling to accept it, Then they will not purchase from us. I am certain they will purchase something from someone, But not one of my babies. Just my dime.

The fact of the matter is you get what you pay for. Back in the 80's I purchased two Rotts Pup's for 500 each. I was so happy that I had AKC Papers. Both Dogs grew up and Had absultley NO drive, Weak Nerves, and would bark like crazy when the mailman came. I have leraned alot since then. I now have a czech female who is an animal and will confront anyone. Will go leaps and bounds for her ball reward so with this. If I have to pay 800 euros without shipping to get the REAL DEAL so be it.

I do not breed very often but when I do it's because I want a pup out of a certain breeding. Finding a good home for the pups is my main concern and I usually give away at least one pup a litter. I realize that I do not depend on this for a living nor do I have the investment some of you have. Nothing wrong with making special deals with people to get the pups in reat homes.

When I advertise locally I usually do not put the price but when they go to my website the price is listed. When I advertise on sites as this I put the price. I like seeing the price at least on their website so I don't waste their time or my own if I believe the price is too high. I recently looked at a nice titled female that was bred. Figured she would be expensive and would cost me about 8k plus shipping. When I inquired the dog was over 10k and though a nice dog I was not going to fork out 10k plus shipping. maybe that was the fat rich american price, a joke LOL. The dog may very well be worth the 10k but it was more than I wished to pay, so if the price was there I would not have wasted the sellers time. Just my opinion.
