NATIONAL COMPETITION X-TRA. I know this food is not on your list but if it is available in your area, I HIGHLY recommend it. Here in Alaska I have gotten several GSD breeders to feed this food and they all stayed with it. It is by far the best food I have ever fed. A friend of mine had a hard time putting weight on a dog. His girlfriend was a vet and they ruled out everything that could have been wrong with the dog. They tried every food they could think of that had a high protein and fat content. I finally got them to try National comp. X tra. It solved their problem. Now I am keeping GSD in one of the coldest places on earth. I need a food that will keep weight on a dog when it is 50 below outside. Nothing that I have found is close to this food. A musher friend of mine ran the Yukon Quest sled dog race, the toughest sled dog race in the world. He said he saw other musher take their sponsors bags and dump out the dog food and then fill the sponsors bags with National comp xtra. This food is small, like rabbit food. When you put it in water it sinks because it is not puffed with air. They do not cook it at the really high temps so the food retains more nutrients. There are other really good dog foods here in Alaska. I could probably find another food as good. The problem is they are expensive. National is a very reasonably priced dog food. I paid around $32 a bag when I purchase a ton at a time. I think the single bag price is around $38 for a 50# bag not a 40# bag. This food is made in Wisconsin USA and is not in every state. I have fed it for over a dozen years and the only negative to this food is you cannot overfeed it. If you do, it will blow right through the dog. Rarely do I recommend something so highly. Here is their site and you can look for yourself and see if you can find it in your area. You can try anything you want but if nothing works, find some of this dog food and give it a try. http://www.nationaldogfood.com/www/compxtra.html

I use Royal Canin German Shepherd Junior 30 for my 4,5 months old puppy. Everything looks OK for now. Anybody has any experience with this food please ? Thanks
