For me the males are in their prime between the ages 4-7 years. Too many are promoted too early and before their real worth can be assessed anatomically and as a sire. The females are in their prime a little earlier but not before 2 years and are at their best from this time until six years depending on the rigours of breeding. Mackenzie

males = 5-14 (their teenage goofiness lasts a lot longer than females)
females = 3-14 (I want my 10+ year old to live for ever!)
