EchoMeadows,
GOOD FOR YOU!!! Now the hard work really begins. Be consistent, work short, intense, focused sessions with the dog. Keep it positive and upbeat. Whatever you accomplish, you and your dog will hopefully enjoy it all. That is what the sport is and should be.
good work!

Animules,
actually we were going to go to that, But have to go to my sister's this weekend. Have to go visit my neice and nephew they're so precious. Anyway it's hunting season at my sister's place and her hubby is having a hard time finding a buck, might see if I can go help. :-)
Thank You very much for the invitation, keep me posted on those things I will be attending soon, at least as spectator.

congrats echomeadows,
can i ask probably a stupid question?
why the dog has to be focused through the routine?
just because it looks good? or is there a purpose?
was there a time where this wasn't done in schutzhund? thanx harley

Hi Harley,
Not a stupid question at all :)
The point of focusing through the routine is to earn more points (If you're doing SchH obedience) It is not required but it will earn you more points. Does it look good? You betcha it does! It shows you that both handler and the dog is having a great time out into the field and have a good relationship.
