don't be a nagging doubts nancy, the papers will come.

it can take up to 6 months (maybe even a year) for papers to show up with foreign dogs. the most important question is do you like the dog and are you happy with it? it's been a month with you, do you like her?

What possible reason could there be for papers to take a year to deliver?

If I had been told that it would have taken any time to receive her papers I would have never bought the dog. That is my point. I was NEVER told that to begin with. Unitl I got the dog and bam... no papers.  I ended up getting another dog out of Belgium and her papers came with her NO waiting. Everything was promt and straight to the point.

What possible reason could there be for papers to take a year to deliver? - Murphy's law reason. the more you worry about the papers, the longer it will take.if you don't give a fuck about the papers and it doesn't matter, they willbe stapled inside the crate.

If I had been told that it would have taken any time to receive her papers I would have never bought the dog.  --- Have you been told that it would have taken no time/or very little time to receive the papers, or have you been told nothing?

That is my point. I was NEVER told that to begin with. Unitl I got the dog and bam... no papers. I ended up getting another dog out of Belgium and her papers came with her NO waiting. Everything was promt and straight to the point.  --- Well, call the guy directly and talk to him and straighten everything out, tell him about your concerns and that you would like the papes as soon as possible, that's what I'd do.

Thanks... I actually did email Jon directly and he never responded back and I don't have his phone number....

by Adi Ibrahimbegovic on 13 July 2010 - 04:07

Fair enough. Then, I'd call the broker tomorrow and tell him exactly how you feel about it and what should be done about it and ask the broker for the former owner's phone. He has to have it if they pass dogs back and forth and do business together.

I was acutually told that her papers would be in her Airway bill... and all I got was her pet passport.

by Adi Ibrahimbegovic on 13 July 2010 - 04:07

I see. Again, I would call the broker tomorrow morning and talk to him squarely with your concerns and ask for a quick resolution to your satisfaction.

If that's what you were promised, that's what you should have gotten. Since it happened otherwise, demand an explanation and a promise to resolve the issue quickly. Apart from that, I don't know what else to say, but good luck. That is the only way to get a hold of your papers, to call and ask what's the problem and when are you getting them, the broker and the original owner.
