I have tried to suction out her lungs, it doesn't seem to be helping. I don't hear any fluid in her lungs so I am not sure what more i can do. I will see how she does through the night and take her to the vet in the morning.

If she feels cool you need to warm her up better. Take her temperature to know here you are at. And keep monitoring it, too hot is just as bad as too cold. Warming up puppy under the shirt will not work well enough. Humans have a lower body temperature than dogs. Get her wrapped in a heated blanket. If you do not have one, get some small towels, wet them, wring them and put them in the microwave a few minutes to heat up, then wrap in a tea towel and all that around the pup. Make sure its not too hot and make sure to replace it before it cools down. Chilled puppies usually have low blood sugar levels and are dehydrated. They can also not feed and digest food properly. If you make them nurse or tube feed them in that state they will usually spit up, some of it will proably back up into the lungs again. Or it just does not get digested because the "furnace is out of order". Sorry Preston, have to disagree with that advice. If you can still hear fluids keep shaking her out gently and wipe anything that comes out off with a kleenex. If you cannot hear any fluids anymore chances are lungs are pretty clear now. At least clear enough. Fluid in the lungs might put her at higher risk of pneumonia later, but for now focus on getting her warm. NO honey for newborns!!! Try sugar water, that will give her energy. Boil some water, pour some sugar in it. Let cool to body temperature. The advice on what concentration varies... Right now you could probably use 2 parts water, 1 part sugar to give her the energy boost she needs. Place a few drops on the tongue. If you have no dropper use a finger. Do not try to bottle feed at this time. A pups stomach is tiny. Too much and most of it will end up in the lungs again. Even if its not spit up. Also drop a few drops of colostrum onto her tongue several times in the first few hours (from mom). If you cannot do that, get some from the vet tomorrow to make up for what she missed today. Make sure you stimulate her to go potty. Warming her up may dehydrate her more. Bit of an iffy situation if no vet is handy. If she gets dehydrated she then needs a sugar and saline solution injected under the skin every few hours. That works best. That should be first order of buiness in the am at the vets office. For now the best you can do is warm her up and give her some energy via sugar water. First thing in the morning get some fluids in her. The vet should have all you need on handy for you. Good luck.

YOU NEED TO GET THE PUPPY VERY WARM AND IT MUST EAT OR IT WILL NOT SURVIVE MORE THAN 2 DAYS. YOU CAN GET PUPPY FORMULA, BUT HAVE TO REALLY FEED SLOWLY OR YOU CAN KILL THE PUPPY, ACTUALLY DROWNING IT IF FED TOO MUCH TOO FAST. I WOULDNT TRY ANY KIND OF MIXTURE, THEIR BODIES ARE NOT CAPABLE OF DIGESTING ANYTHING THAN MOMMAS MILK !! HOLD THE PUPPY UP TO YOUR EAR AND LISTEN FOR A FEW MINUTES TO SEE IF THE LUNGS SOUND CLEAR ? I ALWAYS DO THE SWINGING MOTION AND SUCTION OUT PUPS NOSE AND MOUTH EVERY TIME I HAVE A LITTER ! GOOD LUCK AND MAKE SURE YOU TAKE HER TO THE VET. ALOT OF TIMES IF THEY HAVE TROUBLE BREATHING, GASPING FOR A BREATHE, THEY DO NOT LAST BUT A DAY OR TWO.

DH, good advice... for all the other people out there recommending getting food in this pup... Puppies must be warm(internal body temp) to eat.. she needs to be warmed gently with a heating pad and maybe a moist towel so as not to get too dry and dehydrate .. but she will die for sure if force fed before she is warm enough to be able to process food....
