For the love of the breed, we should act as ambassors with the knowledge with which we have acquired in the process.  That is the least we can do.  For any purpose breeding, temperament and health considerations has to be taken into account.  It is all too easy and simple just to say, wait till the pup is 2 years old!

Hello im Donald and I posted a message basic asking for advice. Jesus a person is asking for advice im not compleatly stupid to all of this I just dont know it all. Thought it would be the right thing to do, being prepared instead of taking the first bum stud that came along, when I was ready to breed her.
WHICH I WILL NOT DO.......... I also know she had to be 2yrs to get her OFA cert. You know its ppl like all of you down talkers, that think they know it all. That makes ppl like me wanna say,,, oh you know. See because you all knew it all from day one and never turned out a bad dog. Turning out bad dogs is not acceptable to me. I bought one of those 1200$ puppies that turned out to have a heart condition at 3 months shortly there after he was limping his elbows did not close up.  So I delt with all your expensive dogs it first hand. Im doing this right and have asked for anyones input that wants to give it. Well that is to Help me and the breed not to put someone down that wants to learn. 
I know everyone has a wonderful smart etc dog, mine isnt just a dog shes a important member of my family and as my children I want the best for her. She is worked daily goes to schutzhund classes weekly, I couldnt be happier. ( Well maybe if I bought one of these ppls perfect breedings id be happier )  Signed appearently im the,,,,,, DUMB-SS. Thanks Don A added tid bit for you all... I contacted United Schutzhund Clubs sorry didnt get the guys name, but requested the best breeder / trainer in my area. They were helpful and refered me to a woman who was great in answering all of my questions. Ya I even asked questions that I knew the answers to, why too see what she knew. 
And by the way my girls Schutzhund trainner is the same woman. Yes the one that was there day 1 and certinly gives her the greatest of care, handling and teaching. NOW EAT ....
 

Donald,  Are you wanting Members to backtrack their replies and responses, due to you taking offence by what you did not expect or want to receive?  I would have asked you how you might have replied to the message in your Post titled; "I'm Beautiful and want to be a Mommy".  However, you conveniently deleted the actual message.  But let me remind you, the main context was; - "a beautiful dog, well mannered, crazy for a ball, with a pretty nice pedigree". 

Perhaps you have realised that the replies were relevant to such a short concise message of breeding intention, that you became miffed at the worried concern from Members - remember we only have what is written.  So therefore your last indignant Message, was written to express a more considerate understanding of potential breeding.  The orginal Message (deleted) did not convey any serious comprehension, but purely a frilly invitation to respond.  Perhaps if you had given some of these insight thoughts and considerations in your first Message, regarding the serious venture to dog breeding, the responses may have equally reflected this.

Donald, welcome to pedigree database where only a select few that post on here on a regular basis are allowed to breed or know anything about the GSD. If you are not one of the chosen then you are guarenteed to mess up the breed they worked so hard to create all by themselves. Please for the sake of the breed get rid of your dog & never ever even mention the words German Shepherd again. You really should know better Donald, shame on you! Now go hang your head & hope that one day you will magiclly gain the knowledge thes people have but don't ever ask questions. I think there is a magical fairy that will come & bestow upon you the knowledge in your sleep after you reach 500 posts & they deem you worthy ;)

I think, Donald, as much as you are now indicating you know about the breed and about getting OFA's and the rest that you should be GLAD people questioned your motives!!!  I would think that you would be so pleased anyone WOULD question your motivations and your intent.  No one claims to be producing perfect puppies.  People say that is what we should STRIVE for. 

If everyone just said "YAY!  PUPPIES!" I would think you would cringe because you know that is surely not the correct response! 

I, for one, am very glad you are doing  this correctly (OFA's and titles and the like). 

Now that is all clear, where is your bitch in her training for her BH/SchH 1 title?  Do you have any videos of her obedience or her protection training??  What other training do you plan?  When do you think she will be ready for her Breed Survey?  What is her pedigree and what is the pedigree of the stud you are considering?  Have you fooled around on this site with a "test" mating?  What did that tell you?

You can send me all the nasty pms you want but at the end of the day i laugh at them as from your original post you were not here to ask questions you were here to look for a stud.

I would like to see breeders start to focus on loglivity in dogs.  I see too many top titled showline dogs dying off at very young ages 8-12.  12 is NOT old for a mid sized dog like a shepherd.
