When it comes to breeding I'm more worried about young adult with an I Q two points above retarded, no job and no intentions of wanting one and my taxpaying money feeding the kids they are churning out..... lmfao. Kurt

Your welcome red sable. My part was easy. I give the credit to his owner who did all the work. People complain about how awful the breed has become and blame it on byb's. There wasn't one byb in the bsz and look at their performance.... most all were schh3. You want a better overall gsd you need to complain to the source. The sv. Not the byb who has no idea what the letters bsz even mean. Someone needs to be able to supply a furry little puppy for a little boy or girl for an affordable price. And your right about the $1,500 pups. Most of those are crap. It cost me $2,850.00 EURO for my new pup. Now that our country is broke and our dollar is worth nothing do the math on that...... that's my complaint. Kurt

"Someone needs to be able to supply a furry little puppy for a little boy or girl for an affordable price."

With all due respect Kurt to your fine breeding of Alex, are you seriously advocating "byb" practises without first testing their stocks?  You said that you are more worried about young adult with an I Q two points above retarded, no job and no intentions of wanting one and my taxpaying money feeding the kids they are churning out.....what about the shelters which are rarely funded by taxpayers and are overflowing with dogs of health and temperament issues or just being abandon coz it not cute and furry after 12 months old?

I have not titled my dog and I have my reasons for not doing so but I ain't breeding it to make a few bucks or it is pretty to put 2 and 2 together.

Your gibe at the SV about the BSZ dogs is a separate issue and should not validate byb practises.  Neither is this topic got to do with those breeders who have not titled their dogs but have the knowledge and understanding of health and temperament issues which have been discussed in many previous threads.

Apart from my initial jester in the post which I apologise, I believe a number of other posters did offer a more constructive advice to the OP's young "promising" pup.

I will say, just for the sake of my own broken heart, to the OP; "If you love your dog, don't breed your dog." You are letting yourself in for huge expense, dissapointment, endangering your female, & having to find GOOD homes for her puppies....a daunting challenge these days. Playing with puppies is fun,(until they start to bite); everything else is not. It's dirty, messy, scary, overwhelming. I've been called to help out my friends with litters & seen horrible, heartbreaking stuff, because they couldn't afford the $2500.00 walk-in-the-door fee from the local ER vet.
Just leave her be wonderful, loving, happy, & alive! jackie harris

Most ke Poseidon..... I'm not advocating anything. You do not train & title your dogs and you have your reasons... we'll what are they? I'm also sure the shelters are not full of registerd byb german shepherds. bred. Are there some in shelters.... sure there are. But I can tell you they are far and few between. So who are buying your pups from your non-titled female? It certainly isn't serious schutzhund people as most wouldn't even think of buying one from a non-titled bitch. More than likely your pups are going to pet homes and guess what ? More than likely your puppies will. never be titled and they will be bred. The fact is people like the op are going to breed that dog no matter what advice is given to them. So I gave him the only advice that he is likely and hopefully follows which is "PLEASE WAT TILL SHE IS 2 YRS OLD" for the dogs sake. As far as all his puppies ending up in the shelter is all speculation and "HIGHLY UNLIKELY". I just get tired of people bashing someone like this when they themselves do the exact same thing more less. You do know the sv says "YOU MAY NOT BREED A DOG THAT. IS NOT TITLED TO AT LEAST A SCHH 1 AND KOER KLASS. I do not "ADVOCATE ANYTHING" in the dog world. I gave him sound advice that I hope he follows because I GUARANTEE YOU this dog will get bred and there is nothing iyou or I can do about it. I AM DONE HERE and good luck to all. Kurt.

And one more thing. At least 70% of the SchH 1 females her in the states are not breed worthy either. IMO. KUrt

I don't know where you're from, but it must be nice there.  I'm a foster and transporter with two different purebred GSD rescues in Texas.  All told, there are seven--SEVEN-- well-run, highly organized rescues in Texas devoted to purebred German Shepherds.  We can't keep up.  Even with all of our foster homes full and the overflow dogs stuck in boarding, all seven rescues are constantly full of purebred, healthy, adoptable German Shepherds.  Over half of them are under two years old, and many are under a year old.  We always have one or two under five or six months.  Still, we have shelters from all of the major cities calling us on a daily basis, telling us they have healthy, adoptable purebred German Shepherds who are out of time (usually 2 to 3 weeks, depending on space) and are going to be put down.

The shelters aren't full of registered purebred byb German Shepherds, but they damn sure have a lot of them.

And before anyone asks:  yes we adopt to homes without fences, yes we adopt to homes with children, yes we adopt to people in apartments.

Again you must GO TO THE SOURCE. Until the AKC adopts the policy of the SV your cries are going to fall on deaf ears. Kurt
