well, the boys problems were not listen so we do not know if he was capable of making sound. I am guessing at the weed being grown in the house that the mom and boyfriend were probably stoned as to why they did not hear.

The boy was sleeping.  There were bites all over his face and neck.

The neighbors heard screaming.

They were growing pot in the basement and the wolf/dog was there to guard the product.

Man........ All I can say is HUMAN ERROR on many levels. Passing the buck. Unfortunately the shitheads are the ones still alive and it won't be the last time we hear of something like this.

like they say, you can't fix stupid and the child paid a horrible price for the adults stupidity.

Stupidity doesn't even come close to explain the actions of these "parents".......
This story is just one of the many, that involve *drugs, alcoholism, the addictive parents, and the horrific consequences the involved children face*......

It may involve that favorite among the trashy set from all cultures, Methamphetamine.

They stay awake for long periods of time and often take downers of some sort to go to sleep.  Sounds like the lifestyle of parasites receiving our precious tax dollars.

They sleep the sleep of the dead or zombies.  That explains how they did not hear their screaming child as he died with no one to save him.

My question, what is with the neighbors?  They don't know how to dial 9-1-1?

    Actually there is an interview with the neighbor where they have called and complaine don this home numerous times. The animal control even had the the hybrid picked up once for running at large and it is illegal to have in that area and the hybrid was returned to the owner!

   The neighbors seem to have an issue with living next to these people. People can call and probably do for domestic in that home from what they must regularly hear. How much you want to bet, when they respond it is the normal the people in the home deny a problem and there is nothing pd can do until it becomes a problem like this because then it esculates into what has happened, a death.

All I read is that the boy was small for his age and wore braces on his legs. I'm assuming he could scream. I just have to wonder how hard it is to close the door to the room he was sleeping in, to keep the dogs out? If the dog was there to protect the plants, he should have been in the basement with the damn plants!

I take Benadryl every night for my allergies and to help me sleep and I have a air purifier on high to drown out most noises, so I can sleep better. I garantee I would hear my kid screaming from dog bites, since I hear him wake up on a normal day or night. I have a baby monitor but never use it, my house is just over 1000sqft so it isn't necessary. I just can't fathom the stupidity or neglect.

Regarding what is normal or not, it said the boy and his mother just moved in within 2 weeks of this. A child screaming at all wouldn't have been "normal" for the house one way or the other.
