Too bad the dog is probably better off in the shelter than where it came from.

Hi All ,
This is the German Shepherd Dog Rescue ( not shelter ) where The Schutzhund III GSD is located . We posted him on GermanShepherdsCC not for help from anyone but only in case there might be just the right person looking there for a wonderful companion dog. The reason he was turned into rescue was because he is not good with other dogs and because the owner now wants to have a boarding facility ( I must assume inside his home, though I can't quite understand that ) so Xaesar vom Lisdorferland is to big a liblity to have boarded dogs around him. He is doing fine here, he is happy and we love him a lot . We are a state licensed 501c3 rescue and have legal custody of this dog so we will not send him back anywhere. When he leaves this rescue it will be to a forever home in Colorado that we have checked out and approved or he will stay here until he does. If there is someone out there that has such a home and is interested in him they can put in an adoption application for him at www.GSDRColorado.com and if they don't mind being checked out and jumping though a few of our hoops who knows it might work out :-)

I just entered the Nixi vom Kraftwerks that we have in our rescue into pedigree database and it won't let me paste the link here but you can enter a search for her.
I will add it to the listing we have in germanshepherdscc as well.

So, Connie, how much are you asking for an "adoption fee"?

I'm sorry, Connie. Let me repeat that. What is the "adoption fee" for him?

I may be way off base here, but to come here to a Natl site and basically say you have a sch 3 dog your going to place into a pet home (ie companion) only in CO. just seems pompous.  I also rescue dogs and would happily place this dog into a working home because 9 out of 10 times they are  happier. Sure the dog is 7 and maybe he is ready to retire, but maybe he isn't and would be better off with someone who can challenge him physically and mentally. Some LE depts would love to have a dog of this caliber but cant afford it. I personaly know of one or two.

I don't understand rescues refusing to give dogs back to breeders. This dog I can see, as the kennel is flaky but I've been told by rescues they would never give the dog back even if the breeder requested it and could place the dog easier and in an excellent home.

Well if you read the ad it tells you the answer why the dog is in rescue. He needs a strong experienced handler. He is not good with other dogs so needs to be rehomed to the right person and probably to a one dog home. He is safe in a rescue and has been for two months. Probably will be until the correct home is found for him. He is NOT dumped in a shelter. The information says he is located here.

Probably a good idea to read the entire listing before making assumptions. He looks like an excellent dog for the right person!!!

Ad says this:
Xaesar is a 7 year old Black Sable German Shepherd Dog , a stamped normal, trained and titled to SchH 3 in Germany before he was imported to America at 3 yrs of age. Due to his owner having a change of direction in his life and the fact that Xaesar is not good with other dogs, Xaesar is now here in rescue with us at German Shepherd Rescue of Central Colorado. He is a wonderful dog that has been here now for about 2 months . He is a dominate dog that needs an adopter that has experience with such dogs . A retired police or military K-9 handler , or schutzhund person that doesn't care if he is not 3 anymore and would love to give a home to a great dog . Xaesar is a very powerful dog that still acts like a 3 yr old even if he is 7. There is a youtube video of Xaesar attached. Please call us at 719-836-0594 .

Why question where they place the dog?  They see and deal with the dog on a daily basis  Im sure they will pick the right person and home for the dog.  Why question them?  None of us have seen the dog except in a youtube clip.
