I am guessing that by the green board they are talking about GSD world? That board was started by Janis Novack when she got fed up with German shepherds.com. I think that is the same reason Sammy and Bill started the free speech board, (Odinhaus). People do become tired of the tight little fan clubs that go on, and the out and out worship of a small number of breeding programs. Most all of the boards have a few who sit back and hang out in the training sections of the board and it is possible to get good answers. In fact, I have never had a question go unanswered. The green board has just started a nice thread on the WDA, so I have been hanging out there quite a bit too. I do not know Tiger and I don't think that I have seen Tiger on any of the boards (as Tiger anyway). That is the problem with some of these, too many user profiles. Shepherd Central seems like a nice new board that will be at least a friendly place to show off your dog, it is moderated so people cannot get on and slam you or your dog, ( please note the user comment section of this site)and they seem very tolerant of new people and questions, all good as far as I am concerned. I am not sure where this diatribe is coming from or why... I enjoy all the boards for one reason or another. Lorri who is always Lorri, LorriR and more recently Avorow (kennel name)

Do we need more Walmarts? Nope, but there they are. I guess, if people are willing to go there, then there is a market for them. Pretty soon you will be able to go from Alabama to New York and never leave a Walmart Parking lot. It is the same with "Groupie Boards". The more the merrier.

Avorow, Yes the green board is indeed GSDworld. We call it the green board because that is the color of the layout that they have on their board. Yes Janis Novack started it, I believe. The person who maintains (web design) it (Whom I think should be the ONLY admin/moderator on the green board. I even respect her a lot as a person and a trainer)is Laurie. She’s the only sane person at GSDworld IMO, Shes never nasty to anybody unlike the other moderators over there.

I am not complaining. Tiger asked a question concerning NEED. I like the new board. I was just making an observation inregards to his question. We might NEED a new board, but we like it. Just like we may not need so many Walmarts, but obviously, we like them. Otherwise they wouldn't be there. So do we NEED it? Nope, we don't need it. Do those that join, like it? I would assume so, and that is the only thing that matters. Now I am pondering who is included in "We". Tiger who is the "We", of your question? Hey, I really don't care - just having fun.

Gee Tiger, not sure why your panties are in a bunch over this discussion board... I found it to be informative and quite pleasant. People seem to have feelings here and have good answers to a lot of questions. NO egos that Iʻve notice...No stone cold egotistical rude ass moderators like the other board that is frequently mentioned. When I have time to post there I think I will feel comfortable that my questions or opinions will be dealt with in a professional and folksy manner. It is my opionion that you tiger are either a plant from the abusive "colored" board and really peturbed that there is finally a place where GSD people can cohabitate and converse freely with others. Or you are just a troublemaker and hopefully youʻll stay off this super nicely ran "groupie" board as Iʻm sure your negativity wonʻt be tolerated there for one moment. Learn to enjoy life Tiger.
