Well IMO it would be unconstitutional, as it was just ruled that forcing people to buy health insurance was unconstitutional. So I believe forcing people to buy pet-insurance would fall under the same category.

Whatever happened to Beetree?

You think the way things are now are getting ridiculous, just wait 20 years from now.  I'm willing to bet it will only get worse.

My understanding is that Germany requires dog owners to carry insurance on them.

Seriously?  What next?  Do I even want to know?

If Texans step up and let this politician know that they will not comply with this, then it should die long before it ever gets to be a law.

Honestly, I think that laws ought to be voted on by the people they are intended to pick the pockets of, and if agreed to, then become law.

But I do agree with GSDguy08...Think it's bad now?  Give it another 20 years.

Dog breeders and dog owners need to educate themselves better.  If we dog owners will not be in control of our dogs and ourselves, then someone will be.
