there are also kennels in New Jersey and other eastern states that work many white gsd,,to Schutz 3 and even IPO..

Look in the back of the Dog fancy Magazine for kennels producing WHITE ...I have not looked real recently but one day at the vets office I spent my time reading the different ads and there were a lot more than I was expecting...

They are out there...YOu just have to find them as they do not post on a FORUM that is against them and most have been made to feel unwanted on here. I am sure the German Shepherd White DOg club has many of them...

Going back a 20 years or so... one white pup, Kodi,  I had bred ended up as a Police K9 in Connecticut, he was also certified for narcotics.  His grandfather was my PPD.  Shiloh.  Shiloh was a very outgoing dog who figured this bite thing was a game. According to the trainer I worked with, his initial bite was firm, and he held his grip well.  If However he had to rebite after an escape attempt, or if the guy pushed me the return bite was serious and would have broken his arm.  I know that there were several Police K9's out of a Canadian Kennel as well.   Most of the Schutzhund clubs we approached back then refused to allow a WGSD to train with them however.  I know there has been WGSD's who did compete, even @ SchHIII level, but don't have videos of them... sorry

YR, that was my exact statement earlier on this thread....I surely wouldn't want to post my white dog on here if I had one.....I know they are out there, I too have seen the ads in the magazines...

Wow, who would have ever thought that its being done in the motherland of the breed.....NO way, not in Germany, the homeland of Schutzhund, and the most respectable breeders and trainers....They would never have a hand promoting the most dispicable fault there is, the WHITE GSD....

I have had  a white that could and would do protection properly, he was a retired guard dog, but this was 30 odd yrs ago, only heard of one of recent yrs being used as a security dog, never ever saw the dog work, But i have yet to meet a white these days that could take any pressure  when it was needed they would fall apart, most are bred for colour and for pet life

rare but they can do it

 

white shepherds aint my thing but they (if bred right) can work as good as any other dog
