Agree with Sue and Ron Hudson.  It's unfair to expect moderation to work perfectly from Day One, or that the forums will miraculously recover in a couple of months from three years of continuous troll carpet-bombing.

As Moderator GSD says above, Oli's in it for the long haul, and we should be also.  Enough whining, please.

Sue
FYI
I am talking about forum and I am talking about consequences of moderation done by former moderators. I am not talking about members .
Also PASSION is PASSION and DYSFUNCTION is DYSFUNCTION. I am talking about passion. Please do not change meaning of my words. Words have meaning and sentences have meaning. Please try to grasp it before you comment. I have highlighted the words forum and consequences  in my last post so that you can orient yourself better. :) Take care Sue.:)

I think what Prager is saying is that with the moderation, gone too is that which pushes thought forward. Some negativity is endured to get  what the spontaneity results in-- something never before imagined, and this can not be moderated.

Prager I want to thank you for your concern for my ability to grasp things.  Here is something for you to grasp too:

A  forum is defined as an on line community, we are all members of that on line community, so when you start name calling the forum, you are insulting those with whom you disagree.

Like I said, on this subject you and I will just have to disagree.

Beetree I am aware of the concept, however I personally reject the premise here, because we are not talking about strangling creativity, we are talking about common decency, civility and subjects that relate to dogs on a dog forum.

Prager, Beetree:

I can understand English. Really I can. I graduated with high honors and have been writing for an audio pulication for the past ten years.

Seems I'm just not very good with humor. I was not attempting to paraphrase what Prager said. Just made a stupid joke about being too polite is boring. Sorry for the confusion.

Triodegirl,

I really wasn't replying to your post at all even if it seemed liked I might have. I paraphrased Prager in an attempt to see if I was on track with his thinking.

Sue, you want this to work, so do I. It is just not the same. Some are happy some are not.

Just do it on another thread Wahreit if you really want it to hang around. Maybe these mods will let it stand unlike the last time.

Can't we stay on topic. If you want to start a thread about another topic as long as you keep it civil and on topic go ahead. The moderators will make a determination on that threads merits.

This thread is not about Hans and what he did or didn't do.

Lets stay on topic.

Regards,
GSD
