Good morning/afternoon folks,

Almost every forum on the world wide web is moderated.

We have already said certain off topic subjects are okay.

Again, no forum on the world wide web is going to allow you to talk about any subject you feel like.

You folks act like Oli should just let you talk about whatever you want. This is a DOG FORUM, not someones playground to do with as they like.

What about the site owners feelings. Or does he not count?  It is only members feelings that have been year less than 6 months that count? I do not get this revolt without even giving these moderators a chance.

Oli can and will do what he deems best for his site and as of September 2010 to present he deems moderators as being the best shot at getting his site under control and focused on one thing... DOGS.

I will ask this again of the people most against moderation--Do you folks want a forum with no rules? Were porn is posted and sometimes it takes 48 hours to be remove. Do you want a forum were people can say anything they want no matter how extreme it is, all in the name of free speech. Do you want a free for all forum or a DOG forum?

This place has lost hundreds of knowledgeable posters not because of moderators, but because the members were allowed to run the place. It is those members that are worried. It is those members that are putting up the biggest fight. WHY?

Change is never easy on a person and it becomes even harder when instead of embracing change you fight it. If you go into work and the boss says, we have changed the way you do your job. Are you going to throw a temper tantrum and not show up tomorrow or show up and do the best you can or are you going to bellyache and set a negative tone all because change is out of your hands.  I know what I would do. What about  you?

GSD --   Some people are just "venting"   --  It will all settle down and work out for the best.

GSD, I'd take the boss to lunch, get him sauced and buy him a hooker. The next day, I'd show him some photographs and explain how I want to work.

I know venting is normal and it is why it has been allowed.  Even though it did take this thread way off topic.

The moderators are all reasonable people, but we are also strong people. We all have fairly thick skin. The only reason I continue to post to this thread is to show Oli and the moderators side.

This is not an easy task and anyone who thinks it is, is sadly mistaken.

You guys be good to each other,  the site owner and moderators and stay on topic you will see us disappear.

You want less moderation, good read the TOS and follow it. If that happens you will see less and less visible moderation.

I need to take off and please be respectful to your moderators today and beyond.

Well said Zmoderator....opposing views are welcomed
as long as they are on topic.

Here in lies the problem.....An opposing view is considered
off topic and gets deleted. I can't begin to tell you how difficult
it is to talk to some one who has never competed and probably
never will,....about training....But I am polite, very polite I think.

I think threads should be allowed to die a natural death, for the most part. Thresholds vary for everyone so being told "nuff said" or else, can be taken as very insulting.

For Max: Thank you for having such a patiently mannered threshold for the newbies who don't know they should be listening in awe, instead of yapping up the wrong tree. Also, I'm not sure but I've been told, if you've seen one porn, you've seen them all. I wouldn't cry too hard over that one.

Welcome to all the Mods,I for one am happy you all are here. I think this site will be a much better place. All other forums I have been on DO have moderators.
