Why would I need to use my real name? My job description does not mention real names. It says moderate a forum by a set of established rules.

This forum does not require real names at this time and the site owner does not want his moderators to be harassed for volunteering  time to moderate his forum. I really had no choice in the matter.

Oli makes the rules I follow them. If you want to voice your displeasure please click on his email and send him an email.

Okay folks lets let this go and when/if we add more moderators we will let you know.

Regards,
GSD

Spoken like a true pacifist,,,,don't speak your mind, just do what you're told and follow along.  Uh, no.  Your opinion is that they are needed,,,my opinion is that they are not.  Why is your opinion better/more correct than mine?  Sorry, I have never called anyone stupid,,,not a word I use frequently if ever when I am speaking about someone's intelligence.  If through experience I know of an alternative or better solution to a posted problem, I will say it,,,is that a problem for you?  In comparison, I don't believe that every child who plays an organized sport is entitled to a trophy just for showing up.  Trophies should be earned and not given,,,IMO.  Again, to quote the late great John Wooden, "Don't confuse activity with accomplishment".    When I see people who basically have little to no experience giving out advice on serious subjects like misplaced aggression,,,,I have issue and will thump my bible and cry foul until the cows come home.  Again, if you don't like what I have to say, don't read it, just as you say to me.

I have a couple of questions --  (1) It is my understanding that there has been a recent turnover in Moderators -- correct?   If so, a complete turnover or just one or two?   (2)  For weeks we were told that the Moderators did not know the identity of the other Mods -- then recently, one Moderator (don't know which one) said that you DO know who the others are.   Is that correct ??

phil, I can assure you that I am not a pacifist. And I have not spent my life as such. I spend it among men, that is why I say what I say to you with my name.

Go back and look at what you say to even the most novice who come here. You do not offer help from your experience. You treat them as stupid. And now, you resist moderation for what reason. Because it may limit what you say. If you are a help to people, then what is your concern. It will not be limited.

If you only wish to present how much knowledge you have gained by presenting others in a poor light, then who are you. No one that I respect.

Anyway, I can offer you nothing more than my name and my face. I travel the U.S. presenting my dogs in the venue I choose.

I'm not a criminal but I don't believe that anyone has the right to search someone's home without proper authorization.  Name me a profession where a novice walks through the door and tells the senior attendant how to do his/her job.  In most cases these days new employees are required to perform an internship before they even draw a salary, working for free until they learn their craft.  Rookies on sports teams are required to perform menial tasks for their whole first year of service.  Let's all chug on over to mamby pamby land............ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhlWddAXSRA   for a big group hug,,,cry baby.

Ignore only works as long as nobody quotes that post.  Then you can see it.

I believe once the trouble makers have met their fate and left this board, there will be a steady supply of new members that come here and stay, more then enough to fill the vacated slots held by the people who wish to use this forum as their  playground to bully and bash. Some are showing their true agenda for being here as we speak. I say let the forum grow and improve, welcome the newbies who come here to learn, treat all people with respect and dignity and realize that no individual member is the life blood of this forum. For those of us willing to welcome positive change, Kudos. For the ones that wish things to remain as they were, carry on and let the chips fall where they may, I doubt you'll be missed.

The fact that some one does not see the value,
of having moderators does not make them a
bad person....On the contrary..if moderators
have not work well in the past, they my not
work well in the future....To sound off some
concerns is healthy, to let moderators know
your concerns and Oli.
This is a group of people with their own
personalities.Group dynamics will come
into play...Some of the older wiser people are telling
you something...If you shun them or use this change
in policy to attack them than you have become the people you
say you would like to leave so you can feel better about
yourself....JMO

I again would like to welcome Zmoderator....you seem to have
the sensible shoes.....You may be in conflict with some of the
more heavy handed moderators who want to be known.

I welcome the Moderators,...in protest but will do my best to comply.
I am not a drone so we will have to see how it works out.

Once again I accept the change but think it will cause more
problems than it solves.....The website has done well 700,000
hits a day...But if you get rid of people who know dogs that could change.
People come here to learn so if everybody is a newbie who will teach
Them....There are no quick fixes...But let see if things improve, or you run
off the people who have the most experience.  They to volenteer their time
to help people with problems, or just learning to start a good foundation.

Other wise it would be like......I have a dog,....ya..me to...than what???
