so .. why is she pulling ?? my guess is to find you -- therefore you double ahndled .. but you perhaps are not in the correct position relative to the hadler and dog -- that is to say .. if you were behind the handler running -- would your dog be pulling forward?? you see -- try to potion with the handler in better synchrony as they go around the ring

in an awkward explanation : someone handles your dog -- the idea of your dog is not to run , pull oor other locomotive behaviors but to show the gait[ function] which is representative of the GSD, Show line , structure . As one person handles your dog and it trotts/gaits , a five beat gate somewhat like a horse , the dog also is to display/ project itslef in such thjings as expression -- Therefore one can use your dog's propensity to seek the owner out as it makes it's way around trhe show ring - this is written also for new GSD showcomers to understand -- in essence the handler , dog and owner are all a team to position themsleves on the ring field in such a way that the dog shows at it's bestat all given times -- sometimes this means an owner to hide out of sight from the others -- sometimes this means the owner being 180 Degrees / the complete opposite side of the ring for the handler/ dog to present itheir best .. other times this means the owner to be running in conjunction and a slight distance ahead of the handler and dog to coax it to present best -- there is no one way --but how you train and prepare is important !! the handler and owner must be in constant communication as to where is best for the owner to position in relation to the ahndler/dog at any given moment -- ahnd soignals are often used -- the last thing you want is also for the dog to be looking away from the judge as the judge is onlooking -- ?? is this clearer ??

Think maybe that we have all had over enthusiastic puppies at some time or another. Mine certainly love to go around the ring like lunatics sometimes! I found the best training method is to walk your puppy round the ring the opposite way around at training classes, for example in a clockwise direction. Do this for about 6/7 times around the ring with no attracting. This confuses the puppy and they are less likely to pull so hard and does not knock their enthusiasm. After doing this, go the correct way around the ring again with no attraction, you will be suprised how quickly this works. And just a final note, you do not need to over attract at this early stage in the pups show career their natural enthusiasm usually gets them through the puppy classes...save it for the adult classes, thats when its more important! Hope this helps and Good Luck

I see no problem in your pup... a lot of show people i know would like to have a pup like yours... just get a good show collar the one with leather pads to protect the neck.
