There is a TON of useful information on this site. To say it is of no value is arrogance of the most ridiculous kind. You seem to think that you can come here and everyone will agree with your amateurish notions, and if these profoundly experienced people do not, then they must all be idiots. Well, sorry, that is not how it works. Hold your horses. Be quiet for a few months and read read read. You will find a VAST storehouse of information and you will eventually be humbled. But not as long as you insist on pushing a fool's agenda and refuse to learn. Rather than tooting your horn about how much you know, just assume that you know nothing and absorb some wisdom instead.
There are a few people you will learn NOTHING from. Shut up and read, and pretty soon you'll also learn who to ignore and who to pay attention to.

One of the things anyone who has been here any length of time can tell you is that you have to be3 thicl skinned if you post things on this database. I finally decided I don't care what anyone thinks, so long as I can look at myself in the mirror every morning. :) There are plenty of people on here who are not nasty and have many brilliant things to offer. Just take the good with the bad and get the information you need out of this site; Oli created it for that reason.
If you ever need help with training issues, etc. so many people on here are happy to help. I'd like to see some of the "old-timers" start posting--maybe if the moderators do a good job, we can get this place back to what it used to be, and they'll come back. I'm someone who was asked by multiple people to start posting, and I've learned you just gotta' let it roll off your back. :)

This site is filled with the same people...the real world has within itself.
People with flaws, fears, goals & passions.....not everyone agrees with one another....and contrary to what you believe, most are not as horrible as you may perceive.
But this site also has some of the best information and help for those involved with this breed....and many excellent people who readily offer their experience and help.....to ANYONE who may need it.
Leaving this forum because people did not agree with you...or condoned your personal thoughts/choices is **weak**.
Do what you feel.....but your behaviour is being displayed as little more than a temper tantrum.
I think you should "mend" your feelings, and learn from experience..
JMO...nothing more..

geo, since I'm the one who has caused you such distress, I want to say this. You did not present yourself as a novice wishing to learn what a GSD is. You came across as a knowledgeable person advocating some very poor breding practices.
From this impression you presented, I did speak to you very straight. I will not apologize for that. Then you finally wilt, start crying that you are only a novice and your feelings are hurt, people are rude to you.
Time to man up. I've been involved on threads here where my dogs are called "shitters", I am stupid for my direction and much more. It does not hurt my feelings, first because I've been at this long enough that I don't rely on others to validate what I do and second because I do realize that no matter how offensive it may be put, some of these views are from people with a great deal of experience.
So, if you subtract my comments, you were offered some very valuable advice from people with a great deal of experience. Despite the time people have taken with you, it seems that the only thing that you come away with is that people are mean to you and you are leaving.
