I think you are supposed to get pre-approval from the local breed warden (and maybe regional?) to be allowed to register the puppies of such a mating.

I don't know how this works in practice or if it's still enforced.

What does the SV do if a dog's line breeding is 2-2? Is it still able to earn a VA or is it an outcast?"

No, it's impossible to get VA title for a dog with such line breeding. A foreign dog with 2-2 line breeding can be registered in SV stud book, can get SV-koerung, can be bred and its' pups will get SV pink papers. But it will never get VA-title.

Marot,
I definitely agree with k9queen's message. You should talk to Your breeder and ask about the reasons of such combination and for detail information about littermates of parents and of a dog, on which the litter is linebred. Hips, elbows, immune system, temperament, teeth problems and so on. Then try to check this information Yourself. And after that You can decide if You will be able to accept such linebreeding in Your dog
By the way, a year ago I made a combination 2-2 for a male (really great male ). I'm totally satisfied with the result - 7 healthy pups without eliminating faults, all were pre-Xrayed and clear in hips and elbows. Great characters, several pups are very good constructed. Three of them had got National Junior Champion titles in their countries. One of those pups lives in my home and I should say I get even more than I was expected to get from such line breeding

P.S. I informed all byers that the litter is line bred 2-2 before selling them pups because I think that this information was very important for them. So I'm surprised that You breeder didn't inform You about line breeding of Your pup.

I have an extremely closely linebred bitch and she is fantastic. I just had to be careful in choosing her breeding partners. She is linebred on Hobby Gletschertopf and and the L litter Felsenwehr, which I have been made to understand was outstanding for temperament and working drives. My dog absolutely reflects this.

3-2 is perfectly acceptable in the hands of an experienced breeder who undertsands completely the pros and cons of linebreeding on the dog in question.

May we know the name of the bitch the litter is linebred on?  If you like you can just PM it to me and I will give you what knowledge I have.

Wow great feedback!  this Linebred bitch has produced 8 champions, guessing that has something to do with it. I will ask the breeder, since it seems like an appropriate question.
