I guess Chow X Lab
due to Otter tail of Lab, Black Coat common in both, Cat-like feet of Chow, Double-coat of Chow but shorten by Lab influence (although parent could have been Short coat Chow), Couldn't see tongue for black markings. Square-build of Chow, etc.
Therefore, I conclude Chow X Lab of course my degree in genetics is perfect . . . LOL

in one photo looks like lab as I dont see his ears up in other photo he looks like a lab x chow mix

My professional guess is Lab -Akita and somewhere Chow was in one of the parents.

Chow Chow with Akita, since Chows usually have a bigger "mane" around their head. Chows are smaller than Akitas. Definately looks mostly Chow though.

He is about 28 inch tall and 165 pounds! (His chest is very, very wide)
I don't have photos anymore due to my dad put him to sleep, my dad house was burned down by accident and he temp stayed in appartment and then he moved again and he had no place to keep him anymore :( :(
