What a special person you are, and surrounded by special people here on this board you have helped your beautiful boy.
So glad for the good news and the happy future Brix is facing. Amazing how resilient a young dog with good temperament can be despite painful pins and hardware and strangers forever fooling with his owie.

God bless you both, and all all the many friends ya'll have spread out all over the country, as an excellent result of a trying experience.

GSD people rock.

Yellow Rose, it is going to be extremely hard for me to part with him :-(  Last night he laid upside down on my lap for almost 25 minutes!!! He is my very special boy and I know I will have tears in my eye's when he goes to his new loving home. They will have more time with him than I honestly would b/c of my other dog's.
Thank you ALL SOOO VERY MUCH for all of the kind words and comments!!! We (Brix and I) very much appreciate them all. This is how the PDB should be instead of how it's been. My mother had asked me if I had too would I do it all over again, and I said YES in a heart beat!!!! I'm there for all my dog's/puppies no matter what I have to do to make them better. This would not have been possible with out all the good people that are on this forum as well as other people from all over this good country of ours!! God Bless you all :-)

He will have a much better life because of the ortho you were able to have done for him! Thank God there are breeders like you out there who really care.

Wow!  It looks great!  Kudos to that Dr on a job well done.

Kelly,
Brix sounds like a happy & forunate pup!
Sorry if I missed it, but what was the reason for surgery? It looks like he had shortened radius/unla syndrome & UAP. Was his problem caused by trauma? Just curious as I know a pup that just went through a similar surgery, but they didn't use any pins/hardware.
Best of luck with him :)

Thanks sooo much SitasMom and DebieSue :-)  It was a long road for the both of us, and thank goodness it is all over with!!! Now he is going to be a happy, healthy, active 4 legged puppy :-))

HtHs, he fractured his growth plate which the ortho specialist at MSU said is very common in large breed pups, and yes it was caused by trauma of his own doing.
