ZalDante, Maybe from his mother lines.. Seems that Wallace produces some health problems to his progeny, according to what I'm seeing from Spaetzle's post: Anyhow If tacco is indeed sterile... we don't need to worry about him being bred anymore. Well now that the sight is up I read your reply Brittany..and I'm still not seeing any points from you...what is maybe his mothers lines? What??? Your replays are based on what you are reading from this post and not from any known knowledge of your own. For the record I guess Tacco is indeed for stud here in the US now. I was told if after he got checked out by vet if all was well he would be. Guess evrything went ok cause there is a stud page for him. I'm curious now as to how that goes......Thankyou Wilhendorf for your reply :-)I agree.......

after reading this thread I found this link very interesting...someone here doesn't know what they are talking about or these people are full on liars...now which is it? http://www.importschutzhund.com/importpage09.html "1. At stud in New Jersey, VA2 (Vicesieger of Hungary) Tacco aus Agrigento SchH3 KKL1 Lifetime is a five year old black and red male with a-stamped normal hips. Tacco is a son of V Wallace aus Agrigento SchH3 KKL1. Tacco's breeder is SV German Judge Leonhard Schweikert. Mr. Schweikert was a judge at this year's North American Sieger Show, the World Sieger Show in Germany as well as many others. Tacco's line breeding is 5-5 V Anett vom Noricum 4-5,5 VA4 Mark vom Haus Beck 5-5 VA7 Fedor von Arminius 4-4 VA1 Jeck vom Noricum 5, 4-5,5 VA6 Odin von Tannemeise Tacco is available to stud for $900 to approved females." Now why would they continue to leave tacco on the website available for stud if he wasn't cleared medically? I have no stake in this as I know none of the parties..well I've heard of one of your kennels...but that's a whole other thread... it'd be nice to get the truth on this one as tacco seems to be a nice dog...

I know this is a really old thread, but I was going through and had to comment. http://www.importschutzhund.com This is who imported my dog for me and she was in horrible condition. I sent her to Tacco to be bred and he did indeed turned up sterile. Not only did I get shafted once, but twice and when I asked questions I got no replies when all was said and done. I wouldn't do business with these people again. The picture of my dog I saw and what arrived in the crate was grossly different. My dog was stuck in NJ waiting to come into heat for 3 weeks after import when finaly Tacco's new owner called me to tell me what the vet had to say. I in no way blame this poor guy, we were both a bit ticked at Clayton and havn't heard from him since. Von der Stadtrand Kennels made the arrangments saying my dog was due into heat any day. Tacco's owner wasn't prepaired to have my dog there and was a bit put out at the way things went.I don't know about everyone else but when in a business dealing someone quits contacting you, I assume guilty.

I'm not poss about what all went on in Germany but obviosly people there new about it and he was sold as a stud here anyway. March 06 is when it was confirmed here in the US. The database shows he had at least one litter, doesn't mean thats on the up and up. Hope that answers your question.

so would you advise anyone with Tacco as a sire to their pups to maybe get dna done on them?

I wouldn't say advise but if I had a pup or litter supposedly out of him, I would. Now that he is an import in the USA, that has to be done for AKC anyway. Somewhere I read it was possible in the right conditions to get a breeding from him, I'm assuming using A.I. so pups are possible. In this case if I didn't see the mating with my own 2 eyes, I would DNA for myself and for any future questions about my pups origin.

Von der Stadtrand "Kennels" is located in the lower half of a duplex. No kennels or dogs anywhere in sight, at least not when I was there last year. Your story doesn't surprise me.

In the same vein Kanto aus Agrigento was sold to UK and he is also sterile - makes you think doesn't it. The UK owner was honest enough to publish this fact - what a terrible shock it must have been to buy this beautiful dog and find this out. There must be something odd going on here do you not think????
