Robin, I am very sorry for your loss.
I lost my beloved GSD very suddenly and unexpectedly on May 31 of this year and wil never get over it,  Never had a chance to say goodbye. He had no titles, but he still has my heart.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all who have lost a dog to an unexpected tragic loss. I just lost my year and a half female German Shepherd Saturday morning. I was playing with her Friday evening as usual. She started to vomit some and have diarrhea that evening. When we got up Saturday morning she started to not want to move around so we immediately launched to the vets office. By the time we arrived at the vets we had lost her. We had an autopsy done on her where it was discovered her large and small intestines were filled with blood. The vet said it was either a viral or bacterial infection that had probably taken her down. All of her organs including her stomach were fine. Now reading what I have here and on the web I believe this bacterial growth had taken her down. Does anyone know anything else about this or where to go? I'm sorry for rambling but I miss my girl so much. She was always so full of love, we were her world and she was ours.

I am so sorry for your unexpected and sudden loss and my heart goes out to you. I have heard of mesenteric torsion, but never had a dog who had it. What a beautiful girl your Annie was. God speed sweet Annie.

I am so sorry for your loss.   My girl is also 6.   Is there any test you can do to see where they stand with the condition that killed this poor dog.   My dog has EPI..  She is doing find now..  Does this mean she could have some of the same issues..  This really is scarey.   I don't know what I would do if I suddenly lost my girl.    My thoughts are with you.
