First and foremost I feel you need to start with an exceptional bitch, one that has excellent temperament, structure and being young will assume she will have excellent health.  You do not want to pass on poor health.  That will come back to bite you later.

The bitch is (an I do not care about color or DDR/West/East at this point;  the bitch is about 95% of your breeding program, then of course, you need to find the best stud dog possible to compliment her in every way.  I like what Lea Vom Holtkamper See has done and produced, I am not say there are no problems or perfect dogs but take a look at her progeny and grand progeny;  that is something to be proud of.  Those dogs are nice.

I have recently also looked into the background bitches of Furbo/Floro, etc.  Fenja Furbo's dam has produced some nice dogs;  her grand progeny is spectacular.  You always need to watch the grandkids,  they are what is going to keep a breeding program going.  And always going back to basics, temperament, structure, health, the rest get spayed and neutered.   The emphasis on the males in this breed is staggering;  the bitches have way more to do with a breeding program than ANY stud dog does.  That is genetics that is how it works.  Yes I love to watch those spectacular males work and strut, however, the dam is way more influential to her puppies than the stud dog.

I also like Schicco;  I have not done as much studying of him as of yet, so far I like his offspring, all too young to date and I don't feel his dam has been as influential as  listed above.  Maybe with studying more, I will see differently, but for now.  If you have a good female, I mean really good, look for the best of the best and watch their offspring for a while, make sure you like what you see, make sure the health and vigor is there and go for it.  Of course I love Zamp and his family and his Dam Ute has produced nice also, I love that puppy that someone has been showing us on line here;  I don't remember whom it is for now but she is really a sound looking girl, of course I haven't had my hands on her but she could really be nice for someone looking for a brood bitch, also show bitch, etc. etc.

For the poster who asked for an update on Nexx, he was V117 at 2009 Sieger show and  noted for his bite work. He was also mentioned in Fred Lanting's report on the sieger show as doing well in the courage test (as was several other from Hill line)
